July Location

We are resetting our 70 clocks in hot Santa Nella.
After sitting out the 1st 10 days in July, having tval re-certs, we ran about 5500 miles in the last 7 days.
Going to sleep a solid 10 then mosey down to LA and snag a Tval back towards Ohio so Linda and I can ( hopefully) hit the REALLY BIG SHOW

They have rebuild the J up the mountain ,
on your way to L.A.
it is a (really) nice Truck stop now ,
not like the dump it used to be a few years ago.

Hey Moose, thanx for the reminder.
We stopped there in May and really liked it. Temp wise it was 20 degrees cooler than the valley.
AND its TACO TUESDAY nite at the little bar across the street.
Should be there in time for happy hour.

eiyiyiyiyi.. we have been sitting in Albert Lea, MN since last Thurs morning. E1 says they are diligently looking for a load.. the truck owner says "stick it out".. so here we sit. And wait....and wait.... and wait.... etc etc etc.

You will get out..I always do..it has only been 3 business days...it will be a good one when you do....am guessing to Laredo.

Laredo and border points are good for us....we even DH from San Antonio even Dallas ...I know crazy but always out in 24/48 hours...

July has been busy for us vans/sprinters.

We've almost always gotten out of Laredo within a day or two, though one time we sat down there 5 days.

June was a great month for us. July has been really, r e a l l y, s l o w!! And we have to go home for a few days the 12th of Aug for dr. appts. This is going to be a financially tight summer if things don't pick up soon.

i would of never sat there that long.... no load by the second day .. which was what fri ???
fri late afternoon...... i would of goten the hell out of there.... to a better load area.

Hey Inkasnana, we got a load to Dallas last night so now we are sitting here in Dallas at the FJ. I know there was a couple of Express 1 trucks there in Laredo when we left last night and Eric and Cindy are on their way down there also. They got a load going down to Laredo yesterday morning so there will be at least 3 Express 1 trucks there unless things have dramatically picked up today (I don't think they have. lol) We're 1/1 D unit for TS here in Dallas, there is one E unit in front of us. Hoping to get moving out of here today but don't look like it is going to happen. If Alvin can't get out nobody can. He has a E unit, tandem and hazmat. Usually pretty easy for him to get loaded but he has even been here since Saturday.

(Oh, I'm soooo depressed today!)

Left Atlanta (jackson "J" ) loaded in West Point GA...heading to Plymouth Mich.... then home to toledo for a day or 2..

OVM, when i go back in service after time off at home, 9 out 10 times i DH to Chicago.......

Setting at the west columbus TA in OH. Have a morning pu to Iowa. Hope I can luck into a load back this way for the weekend.

On another note I spent a day or two chatting with pantherart last week. It was good times.
