At home after having an MRI done to try and figure out the ringing in my ears...

Tomorrow Buffalo airport to see my daughter off for 2 yrs in Australia.

Then Thursday driving to Missouri to pick up the new truck. I need to start making dolla's yo...

Just pulled a Paul Bunyan But I felt more like the Ox...

Ripped down a 70 foot tree....Phew....no more sap on the trucks...

All this relaxing and time off is a killer...need to get back to driving....

The ringing in youre ears-there is a name for that, I just can't remember it at the moment.I have had it for years, it comes and goes.When I get insurance, That is on the top of my list, along with new chompers..

Thank you Load One dispatch for the best effort I have seen in years at keeping me loaded and rolling! True dedication and teamwork in that office.

The alternator was on it's way out, and after removing the air cleaner assembly to where I can see it better, the red dust everywhere around the alternator confirmed this.Put a new Ford one on, and figured I had better replace the belt, belt tensioner, and idler pulley while I was at it.Better I do it now, while not under a load, than to have it go while I was on a load.I was impressed with how easy it was to work on.It took me longer to figure out the serpentine belt routing than doing the whole job..But we got it done! Total parts cost..$260.00 I was wondering how much all of this would of cost for a Sprinter?

For an 05 and do it myself....about $350...so not much difference...and we have 2 idler pulleys....

Great to hear how life has turned around for ya...really happy for ya Dave...

Well I should have added that bein old and workin on the thing for 3 days over the haoliday weekend I hurt my back and while i am sitting watching TV, I am sitting on the "heatng pad"...yea thats it I hurt my back...

And Scott, I hope your ear situation is just a temp deal...i have lived with ringing in my right ear since i was 14...and while I slowly was losing my hearing in that ear, in 1977 i had an operation that left me totally deaf....and the ringign continues to ths day...again i hope yours is jst a temp deal, but i will say, you get use to it....
