We are being FORCED to stay home. We put our truck in the shop on the 26th of Dec and they did not even start looking at it till the 3rd of Jan. Gotta love it!

I wish we were going out as planed, BUT, with the extreme weather coming it may turn out to be to our advantage. At least I have wood for the stove.
The weather this year reminds me of when I was a kid. Back then we often were playing pond hockey in Nov.

Sure hope this is a sign of things to come. I miss heavy snow (by today's standards) and early ice. Duck season back then was short, but intense. The "herds" came through in a very short amount of time. Made for some unreal hunting.
Deer season was better then too, more snow. Makes it easier to see them.

Cinci Ohio headed east to the poco is to do an early am drop then defrost a little till my next adventure! I have been sitting now for 2 hrs waiting for load to be finished

morning gang.....-18 wind chill -42 .......good news is the wind is subsiding ..we didn't get any snow....just sent this cold eastward...
and the van didn't start yesterday...have the heating pad over the injector system...worked last time...

8 degrees in Alpena, not sure about the wind chill, other than there certainly is one. It's gonna be a couple more days 'til my truck's ready and that's O.K. I'm doing a good job of making sure this couch stays on the floor and the fire keeps going.
that was a good plan eh?...truck in shop during storm....LOL
was old snow on the ground...think it is in Mn or IA now...the wind just whisked it away...

Dropped from 0 to -5 in the last hour in Dayton. Brrrrr.
Just started the pick up and it groaned at me... Need to boost the sprinter and see if it will start ... Had the heating pad on it all night

Strange weather! I'm in Northern California and their expecting record setting high temperatures for this time of year. The Pass between Reno and Sacramento had NO snow! Unusual for this time of the year. Hopefully I'll get a load back to the Midwest and the cold will be gone by the time I get there.
Just got the van washed and cleaned all the windows on the inside. Soon, off to Home Depot to kill some time.
