Is Truck Stop Customer Service Improving?

Just had to revisit this thread. I stopped at the J in Perrysburg for fuel today. The pump I was at and the one next to me were not operating properly. Maintenance tried to rectify the problem but it was beyond their abilities. We moved to different pumps and got our fuel with no further trouble. When we went in to get our receipts, the clerk offered us what ever we wanted out of the deli case, free. She apologized for the difficulties we had and thanked us for our business. What could have been an unpleasant experience was quickly turned around thanks to the good customer service. :D

Lets not forget Iowa 80 Truck Stop. :)

Ya know, the Iowa 80 is one that I don't like. Takes too long. The place is just too big and too many people. I'm kinda prejudiced, I think the Resaca GA Flying J is the best truck stop. Yep, home sweet home! :p

Eye-yi-yi, after the experience we had tonight I would have to say NO to improving customer service! We decided on getting something light to eat to bring back out to the truck, and after looking at the meager choices in the T/A store we went into the restaurant. We waited several minutes before a waitress came out from the back. We told her we were going to order something to go, so she gave us menu's and walked away. Np.

We sat looking at the menu for a good while, and she came back out again with food for the guy at the table next to us. She looked at us when she brought his food out so I assumed she remembered we were there. She gave the guy his food, looked our way again, then turned her back to us and answered a question that the guy had. About that time a girl and two guys came walking in who were apparently friends of the waitress because the girl walked up to her and pinched her backside.

The waitress and the 3 new arrivals then proceeded to walk back into the kitchen area chatting as if they hadn't seen each other in weeks. I was so irritated, I threw the menu down on the table and walked out. I wanted to give that little twit of a waitress a piece of my mind so badly, but I just left instead. So now I'm left eating a less than appetizing ham salad sandwich. Wonderful ending to the evening.

At certain TA's they got Unlimited Servings on certain Meal Items.
Well I sure wish they serve the Chicken like in Sweet Water Texas TA.

Now that something to Crow about.

Ya here come the Rooster.

I have 3 nieces that are waitresses. They do that to 'to go' orders because they figure no tip will be forth coming. Next time don't tell her your ordering it 'to go' until you actually place the order. As for just walking out. Your much nicer then I am!

I got really bad service from a waitress at a TA. Not only did she provide very poor service but she stood in front of the counter where the food is picked up by the waitress yelling at and berating what was obviously a new cook. When it came time to pay I used my credit card. On the TA credit card receipt for tip I put O with a line through it. I then turned the receipt over and on the back wrote "NO TIP EARNED, VERY POOR SERVICE, PLUS WAITRESS YELLING AT AND BERATING COOK FOR NO APPERENT REASON." Wanted to be sure the waitress knew of my displeasure and that her manager was going to know of my displeasure and her company would know! :D
