Do I win Expediter that Sat the Longest without a Load while in Service???
OK, I guess this could be one category, or a certain criteria, that one must meet to be "nominated".
I hereby nominate TJ to be honored into the upcoming/possible/doubtful Expedite Hall of Fame.
I am not going to come straight out with a "who cares" opinion on this. It is a noble idea and could very well make a few here feel all ting-leee inside. But, in reality, would anybody away from this board
really care?
I mean, are there hordes of people lining up outside the TA in Cleveland Ohio with cameras and autograph books just waiting for the arrival of Phil Madsen of the ATeam to stop in and fill up his truck?
Although, I have to admit, I did pass Phil one day on a DFW Freeway. Yes, I got that ting-leee feeling and was like "HEY!!! There goes the ATeam!! But, 3 minutes later all was forgotten.
Good noblish idea, probably very little support and enthusiasm from the people that are in this "niche" market itself though.
Another idea that comes to mind though is if one wants to honor the "Expedite" industry, start another website that is dedicated to the history of this niche market. One may say this website is geared towards the "INDUSTRY" itself, of which it is, but EO is more geared towards to being a resouce type of site for the Expediting industry. A site like that would educate future expediters on the history of an industry they may want to get into.
Just my opinions.
