It isn't relevant to your questions and issues. But if you need to know, we have 4 trucks at Panther and have been in expediting 20 plus years with the last six with Panther.

be happy it isnt 21 day pay and being 30 before your got your first check like in the old days.

things change over the years when I was at panther we got fuel advances even on loads we found ourself never had a problem it worked great.do they not pay you a percentage on your card once you deliver now?

if not then you need to start asking the brokers if they do fuel advances. In truckload most brokers will give you 40-50% once the load is on the truck and you call in.some brokers will even pay cod .I suggest you start looking for loads from this type of broker.
I know each broker I pull for that gives fuel advances I set as a favorite then when I search for loads I search favorite only then I dont waiste time looking at garbage.I have been doing this for awhile so I have a favorites broker list of around 500 so that gives me a customer base of 500 offices that will give me 40-50% when loaded and some of them offer quick pay via com-check once deliverd so If I was with panther now and didnt want to wait 15 days for pay I would use bokers like FAK that will give you 40% when loaded and 50% when empty let them send panther the 10% in 10 days and let panther deduct the 5% from one of there high paying expedite loads out of your next settlement.
here is another tip for ya even companies like JB hunt are big money to move the s--- runs that you are offerd and they are s---- to you as an expedite driver but to the carrier they are gold mines for example my last load offer from JB as a carrier was $800 on 320 miles but I turned it down cause JB does not advance outside carriers and I dont care who you work for cash in hand is better than an iou.and by the way were is ky,on
if its ky as in Kentucky send me a msg I can get you out of there for $2.20 per mile with a panther approved broker

Me tink y'all are beating a dead horse here. Seems one that has been running 10 plus years at a grand a day, should be ready for relocation to easy street, steada having some kinda disaster, having to wait 15-30 days for revenue to show up. Kinda interesting?

With regards to Panther backhauls ,
* Prior to February 18th, Panther will be adding a pre-delivery fuel advance program that ties the fuel only advance to the actual settlement period. Currently any pre-delivery advance is deducted the very next settlement period. With Panther’s backhaul program, this is a significant operating change focused on improving cash flow.

Kwexpress. Thank you very muce for a good advaices. Yes I know very well FAK even the president of the company - he is from the old continent and I meet hinm in Colorado, very good person...............I do bussness with FAK when we work under are ICC number and you are right most of the brokers give you 40-50% advance and , quiqe pay. But the way how Panthera do it is diferant, thay hold my pay for a 15 days, for what????????I can get pay faster from the broker then Panther for this load/ And it is not my problem that thay don't have a load from MN ..........I agree with you 100% on very thing , but thay don't pay the load but thay take the Fuel advance right the way ............ this is not a right .........

Daveksc , your comments it is right to I ask the payroll klady and she tell me the same this is the stupid thing I ever see in this indusry . Landstar and Fed EX never do this thay deduct from what thay pay you for this week not in advance ...........

I go to quiqe pay with a Panther and I get pay in the second week and thay charge me 3% , but for what to pay me after 15 days - this is not a quiqe pay after 15 days ............

Alborado,

Sooner or later you will get the message....."EXPEDITING IS A TEAM MODEL" No matter what expediting company you sign up with, solo runs are solo runs due to hours of service. Customers pay a premium to have their loads delivered strait thru......something a solo driver cannot do often times due to the HoS changes. I have to agree with Col here......something smells extremely bad here in your messages, with all of your experience and high paying loads why would you make the changes you made with very little investigation into this segment of the market? I can tell you that tractors do VERY WELL at Panther. I drive tractor, and have done extremely well from the very beginning with Panther.....the difference is I ran team. The tractors I have on with Panther currently are TEAM TRACTORS and doing extremely well. When i run solo, if I book backhauls, I can do very well. It is time for you to take responsibility for you. It is not Panthers problem...at this point it is yours, or sounds like you may become tri-states problem. And before you start .... 1st year with Panther 219,000 in 5 months running.

I happy for you thay you are happy in Panther this is greet.....keept doing but for me is not and if I have to withing 15 days to get pay from the company about the brokers- backhoul then better to work with are ICC . We know that no one is perffectand every one is responsable for the owne acts, but in this case it is differnat .

I have a straight truck on with tri-state that's doing really well. Tri-state has been running them well and keeping them pretty busy. We also like the way tri-state treats ALL the drivers and owners, which is with respect and dignity. By any chance, did you try taking your concerns to your CC?

I know because he have a exelant driving record and good recomadation from the previsions company. I like this for now that thay are very nice and honest from the begining..........I still don't solve my problem to get pay for are load. call and talk with so many supervasiorss and thay said will do everything possibla but from the 10:00am to now ????6:00 pm no body call me for what for my owne money ? I don't like how thay pressure you - are way or not way..........this is my money I don't take from the company account. My hausband was 4 days as a snow man in N. if you have mc number why are you even leased direct to panther just lease as outside carrier add 4.9% to your rate when you bid to cover a factoring fee and set up with Freight Revolution get paid the 95% same day you deliver wich will be 100% of what you really wanted.
see how that can work in your favor?
and do the same with all the expediters dont tie yourself to one when you can run for them all and you can put a stop to all the deductions for qual com, insurance etc.

dont you already carry public liability and cargo? your pissin away that money you getting deducted from panther.I am flat out saying dont burn your bridges by bashing them use your resources to outsmart them.

Seems to me that if your resources are that limited that you can't wait 15 days for your pay you should think about something else like driving a taxi where you get paid every day. For many years Robers then FEDXCC took 3 weeks to process your ppwk and send through the mail your check. Now they do it through trip pak and Direct Deposit but you still are looking at 7-10 days. The fact that your husband was in -19 weather means nothing,he could have been in 70 degree weather. I would quit complaining and suck it up,change your attitude and work with your customer who is Panther or Tri State in a positive mode. Perhaps then you may find life easier.

Remember you are a small trucking company and have ONE customer who might be Panther or Tri State or Bolt etc. You want to keep that customer happy with your attitude and performance. Worked for me for many years.

Boy no kidding, finally SOMEONE gets to the meat of the thing!! And BTW, I think DaveKC has shown the patience of Job, going far beyond what should be expected in trying to help while tolerating questions laced with demands. JMO

You are waiting 15 days because that is what your contract says. What if the broker stiffs PII. will you then pay PII the money back?

One thing I can tell you about tstate is this: if you're not sure of or don't like the area you're sitting in, you can contact your CC and they'll bonus you out of the area into a better freight lane. My truck has done that a time or two. In expedite (no matter who the company is you're on with) sometimes you have to bite the bullet and deadhead yourself into a better freight lane instead of wasting your time, money & fuel sitting in an area that's either not so great or dead.

Alborada,

When your husband went to orientation for Panther, wasn't he told that he would have to wait the 15 days to get paid?

I am not saying this to be mean but maybe your husband would be happier running for a regular freight company again. Expediting is not for everyone, where there is sitting and waiting for the phone to ring.
