Honestly it's a little hard to track what layover days we do get paid for because they often seem to be behind in crediting them.

We mark the layover days on a small calendar and on a spreadsheet I keep for our loads and reconciling settlements. Have never seen any lag or delay. I am consistently impressed by the accuracy and timeliness of settlements compared to our last carrier. It used to take, literally, hours to go through a weekly settlement to figure out wtf they were doing. Now, at Load 1, it takes 30 minutes max.

as far as layover pay goes....I was like some of you guys SOFT...then after a discussion with John he told me....if you earned it ...collect it....If I didn't want to pay it I would not offer it...

Don't make this business personal...this is strictly a business transaction....if you do something wrong Load 1 will not hesitate from terminating your contract just because you are a nice guy....just my thoughts anyhow...

I find my Saturdays and Sundays are usually paid the FOLLOWING week....not the week they fall in...

I put this to you in print....IF you neglect to collect just $50 a week....that is $2600 a year.....over 5 years you will have failed to have in YOUR pocket...
get this $13,000!!! Nice you can just toss $13,000 aside......

If that was entirely true I am sure the fleet would be smaller. LOL. OMG this eye thing is terrible. Waiting at the specialist. Uggghh

I see a eye patch for the rest of the month for you john.....hope you feel better soon. 9h and be thankful it was not a galaxiy note 2 that hit your eye lol like me while sleeping a few months ago

Hope all goes well with the eye doc...how in the world did you get a stick in your eye?? I'm with the guys though...you'd look pretty cool with an eyepatch! :)

Was walking around the parking lot as they were putting the new asphalt down. Was looking down as I was walking down the edge of the ditch. Looked up and bam.

another bit of GREAT news for John while he is in the waiting room.....Social Security informed me I have to work 4 years more not the 2 years I was expecting (rule change) 4 more years with Load 1.......hehehehehehe
