Had a load offer last night picking up a few miles from where I am sitting going northward into Mi......Didn't get it....poop. One less ankle biter carrier here as well this morning...hmmm.....

I did 19's last night and am like the only one in a couple hundred miles...I've had loads out of this area a few times in the past....but, I really don't want to subject myself to Miss Hospitality in Huntsville, either......lol...

Ya put up with me.....you can put up with HER!!!....LOL

#1 on the Q and I get a load that has to be picked up fast. So I drive like a fool for 40 miles to try and make sure I'm there on time because I'm told the pick up time is critical for some reason. Then ( which happens ) the load all the sudden cancelled and I go from #1 to #3 on the Q.......

That should of at least generated a "truck not used" or some kind of dry run pay. IMO.

So, in preparation for the damp rainy weather, I spray scotchgard water repellant on my new Load One hoodie. It is made for outerwear, the scotchgard...now, my new hoodie smells like a Zippo lighter....lol..

Waxed the van today. The whole van. Twice.

Many nice load offers, but no cigar. The cheap freight rate runners are pretty much flushed out of here. For now.

I'll give it a little more before I move.

Just got back from the store. Brrrrrr 38F wind chill my lite jacket didn't cut it. Keep debating on forgetting my Fall outfitting for the van and going straight to winter stuff
Be back at it tomorrow, after I scrap the ice off the windshield

82 here today... Had to get my shorts out! :)

The same here, not as hot though. But perfect weather since I have been here. I guess it could be worse....I am getting a lot of pre-winter things done that I have been putting off on the van....And now that I have used up my last free shower tonight I do need to get moving on a load..Hopefully.

Hopefully get you rolling soon, you have the number 2 spot right now. Glad this day is coming to an end. It was a long one and a bit of a headache from the minute a customer text woke me this morning. Such are the joys of business life I suppose. :D

The million dollar question is this:

Would you rather have a wake-up text from a customer, or,

From OVM?......lol....

That's a toughie......

Layover pay question. ...I was always under the impression that after unloading, we can claim 2 days layover pay from the time of p.o.d'ing as long as we are more than 200 miles away from home and that is it. And no load offer refusals. No more claiming another layover until our next load is done, correct?..regardless of how long we are without a load......well, I was told by another driver that after that 48 hours of paid layover is done, we have a day where we do not collect and than we can collect another day or two again....so in other words he is saying since I sat 5 days so far I am entitled to 4 days of paid layover...which is correct?.. me or him?..
