And, California is on the list of destinations I look forward to. As long as I can get a cheap load east after a couple daze off! Has not happened yet
Slim chances to see that happening, but you never know... In 20 years of expediting I've been three times to Cali, got loaded just once after 12 hrs of waiting, an 800 miles run to Portland, OR.

Ah, gotcha! I got cousins there.....
Lives by the mall off of I-80.......
Nice area.
I could not take the North Jersey traffic. Lived there for my first 50. And today an 1800 sq ft 3 bedroom home is about $600,000 and real estate taxes at over $10,000 a year.

Stopped last night at the j in Vandalia oh. Would've gone all the way home but with the overpasses being dicey decided to pull up and close up shop for the night.
Now at the WH having breakfast and then the 3 1/2 hrs home.

Got into the averitt service center in Knoxville last night at about 7:40. My trainer let me head on home so I didn't have wash or fuel the truck. Gonna meet up Monday morning to take our load to Hebron Kentucky dropping 19k of textile stuff. Big trucks are a lot different than a cargo van, but so far I dig it.

Edit: also got my first week performance evaluation and passed with flying colors except j need to pay closer attention to my mirrors which is a big one. Also for my strengths I got knows the trucker lifestyle well lol. Who know spending so much time sitting at truck stops would help out
