Hello I am wondering which company to put a truck on with?

Ok everyone I know that this forum is going off topic now but I really don't care. What is so bad with Hino's? They are the truck version of Toyota this I know. Toyota has an excellent track record with their vehicles so what is so terrible with Hino. Throughout these forums I have head horror stories about the M2 102 as well. Our Hino 332 is one of the nicest trucks that I have driven. I have driven freightshakers, intertrashinals and wackmacks straight trucks. mmmmmmmk thats my rant for now..............drive safe!

Now you are asking for more info from the same people that gave you the answers you didn't like??

There is a new forum being put together just for you. Check out

ExpeditersOnline.com I have an idea

It is a thread in the General forum.

You can remind anyone you please about Chrysler & GM, if they hadn't given the store to the Unions 30 plus years ago they might not be on the balls of their Butts.

And some ppl like Mitsubishi cabovers. Personally, I don't know why I get laughed at when asking for crome for one on the cb.

To each their own, I guess. I wouldn't take a Hino if it were given to me. Others feel the same about an Argosy. One is a work horse, the other goes uphill like a burro with an invisible carrot in front of it.

We drive for a fleet owner and are on our 4th Hino. The one we are currently driving is the first one that we have had any kind of major problem with and we just had to have all of the fuel injectors replaced. Otherwise each of the Hino's that we have driven have been very good, dependable trucks, even if they are slow about going up mountain roads.

That isn't to say that I'm discounting the problems others have had with Hino trucks, I'm just relating our own experience. Not all Hino's are bad, just as not all Freightliners are perfect. (That's just an example btw.) ;)

Aaronrocker, you remind me of a 'know it all' kid that was in the same orientation with. He knew it all.........Think he was a whopping 21 or 22 yrs. old with what he claimed 'all these years of experience in a big truck'. Couldn't even have a conversation with the kid, he knew it all, done it all. He'd actually fall asleep during class. Let's see, he didn't make it thru his first load, jacked the truck around to sharp and creased the side of the sleeper with the trailer. Needless to say he's not with the company anymore..........Didn't surprise anyone at all.
So, with all your experience and 'know how' good luck. Go out and set the expediting world on fire! Write a book while your at it so we all can read it and learn what we've been doing wrong all these years. Good luck with your 0/0 with all that 'elite freight'. And the Hino......
If you have all the experience you say you do, why are you on here asking what company to go with???
HHHHHHHMMMMMMMMM wonder why as you claim "your last owner didn't pay you".....late delivery charges???? High load offer refusals??? Using the truck as your own personal RV maybe?????
As far as throwing a cheap shot at DaveKC, he's one of the most respected people on EO. What he says you can take to the bank! He won't sugar coat anything or tell you what you want to hear. Sounds like he hit a raw nerve with you just from telling it like it is and not what you wanted to hear.
Again Good Luck, with your attitude, you deserve whatever comes your way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, when all the real expidtors blow the doors off your 'beautiful Hino" give them a wave and try to stay out of the way. When your in a shop in Po-Dunk nowhere getting repairs go to the restuarant and offer a real expeditor a cup of java.......he'd probably appreciate it.....Shake his hand when you transfer your 'elite load' onto his truck because your broke down somewhere...................

That's not really fair. Not all Hino's are bad, just as not all other makes are perfect. We have driven several Hino's and have been very happy with them. The only problems we have had are with the one we are in now where we had to have the fuel injectors replaced. You can't lump all Hino's together as being "crappy trucks".

Hmmm....... sounds like you are crabby due to the lack of freight this week so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. As for your know it all attitude about what my past experiences in expediting were, you have got to be freakin kidding. This forum like others are now taking apps for the crybaby of the world, and I think that you are in good running for it. As for accomplishments this week, 2600 miles and a nice weekend in Dallas, TX. This isn't too bad I would think. As for you Suds43 have fun bawking at other "newbies" while we are taking your turned down freight. Oh thats right you aren't even driving now so your opinion is about as worthwile as tits on a deer. As for my "Hino" it's one of the nicest trucks that I have ever driven.

:DThank you for all who responded. It seems like everyone on here is a bunch of crybabies that didn't get their bottles. As for me I am not buying the truck.......instead I found an O/O to drive for and to team up with in an 08 Hino with a 96" loaded sleeper. I figure that it's a good start in case in the future I want to put a truck on. And as for davekc It seems like you never have anything positive to say. I have seen your posts in other threads and they are all doom and gloom. Has this business really hit you that hard? Maybe it's time to take your own advice and "buy an RV and tour the country."

What The???? This guy comes on this Board with a Question, And Just because He didn't get the Answer he thought he was going to get he calls everyone a "CryBaby?" Seems to me that the Boy Needs a Reality Check..............Nuff Said:mad:

One of the things that I have learned in this world is to stand by what you say. Although I didn't mean any disrespect to davekc, I throughly do not believe that the market is that terrible out there. According to my O/O it is a bit slower than it usually is for this time of year but since we are an "elite" unit, the freight is moving well at the time. What we have to understand is that being in business during a time like this shows that we all have the raw gut attitude of never giving up! That is a respect that I have earned for all of you. Business is the foundation of this country preferbably without government intervention. Keep on trucking and I will "promise" you that things will get better!

I'm confused, why the original post, are you getting ready to quit your new job?

THREAD CLOSED I was going to buy a 2005 M2 but with all the responses on here and by doing a little research I decided to go to work for an owner operator instead. By doing this I can get my feet in the door so in the future I can own a few trucks or a fleet when the economy is better. As for the people on here with your negative critisism you can go suck it! Thats the problem with forums, there are always the ones that have pine cones up their rear ends. I have learned that the freight is slow right now so just deal with it, because I am too! And as for calling me a boy(u know who u are) you really don't know me so I find that disrespectful. THREAD CLOSED

Well, I'm not sure about that, but someone that calls a guy an idiot and tells people to "suck it" certainly should be banned. Where are ya mods?

I am new to this posting stuff, but here is my two cents. this is my fifth year in expediting, Started out in a cargo van, then went to work for a O/O in a straight Truck stayed with for three weeks and came off the truck. This O/O stated he was a christian when we first spoke, but his actions were the opposite. I then took out a home equity loan and bought a straight and leased on with Panther. Jan 08 I ended up filing CHP 7. I went to work for rwo outher O/O beforeI came off the road. The past three monts I went back to school and go my Class A and now I am looking to get back on the road.
WHAT'S MY POINT YOU MAY SAY?

I did not come to this site before and it cost me. I heard it said somewhere " if u don't want advise don't ask for it and you do ask don't gripe with what you are told" That O/O will tell u anything u want to hear to keep u on that truck. Sorry about the lenght of this book.

Sorry to hear all that but here is the thing, a lot of people come here and listen to the great stories of seeing the country, paid vacation and thinking that success are the people who offer great advice. The problem is that they don't want to hear the negative because it crushes their vision of success and paid vacation.

If I had to do this all over I would get the class A and get on the road with a tractor.

Man, I love this sight. Kinda like people watching at the truck stop. While I almost never step into the muck.. here goes. 1st, if a Hino is the nicest truck you ever drove... you haven't driven many trucks.. and with all of that attitude you might not ever, but good luck. As far as people around this site goes... there are a few who's judgement or advice you can trust and one has to be Dave KC. take it for what it's worth. And as you may find out, an owner, desperate for a warm body to help drive, just might stretch the truth about freight and what you can expect to earn, but something tells me you probably work real cheap. And yes... we all cry about this and that from time to time, but few are malicious and tend to find them selves off this site.. thanks to good moderators. Oh yeah, I think Dave is one of those too. By the way, only a moderator can close a thread. Good luck and Good Night!

This biz ain't fun every day. The "paid rv'ers" are still having a good time. But, why put up with corporate america "for a few dollars more"? They'll most likely stay in it till the truks wore out. Then?? Can't imagine being a fleet owner leased to someone is even "close" to being worth it when you consider all the whiners and their agendas ya hafta put up with. Jes git a truk, do yer own ting, an y'all will prolly find it rewarding in many ways.
