exactly.....it is going to be a boon doogle forever they way it is set-up now...
If they wanted more insured people they could have just income subsidized more people and made the old system more user friendly..since they (theFeds) felt a need to interfere.

I am thinking some of the people pushing for this are looking north and NOT knowing how it works.....The Canadian care is NOT a federal program like Gr. Britain and other countries....it is managed by the provinces, for the provinces....each province responsible for its own program and what it can afford...if you don't want to wait and you have the resources, you have a choice to go private and get it done immediately.

You are absolutely correct. Our family operates a medical clinic here in TN. As it sits right now, only 44 percent of doctors are accepting medicare patients. That number will slide as they keep adding regulations and dropping the payment for services. One may have government insurance, but that is much different than whether you can find someone that accepts it.
The decision was made here to keep existing medicare patients but not accept new ones.
The new medical model now is switching to more of a concierge service like you described.
Coming soon near you.

Hi all, the Obamacare health insurance is a real joke, and there is no way of getting around it. unless you have medicare. here is the basic, the first year, the cost will be about $330 per month with no discounts, if you fall into a certain bracket, and then it Is given out sparingly. I cannot give you any real info on it until I get the updates that are really in stone, they are not yet, they just want you to register with the Marketplace, so they can get you and charge you the penalties on your tax return next year, 2014, not 2013. I will get back ot all on this within the next 2 weeks, SO DO NOT SIGN UP YET. [h=1]Franklin Katz, ATP,PA, PB[/h][h=1]Frank's Tax & Business Service[/h][h=1]315 E. What are your thoughts on taking the mileage deduction even though it is clearly disallowed on for hire trucks thus dropping your income to near zero, then not having to pay very much in taxes and getting a government discounted insurance plan because you are near the poverty line? Sounds like a plus plus win win scenario! Drive less make more, make more then write off even more rah rah fight team fight!

Keep in mind that if you have a policy that was written in 2010 or before, you can keep that policy with no changes. That is assuming they didn't send you a cancellation policy.
So......may not have to pretend you are broke afterall.

So long as the 'old plan' meet the 'new plans' minimum standards, as NOW require by law.
just one more lie Obama told for the sale his ObamaCare.
then:"if you have a plan,& you like it- you can keep it"
now:"if you have a plane,& we approved it, you can keep it".
because we are from the Gov., and we know better.

No......those plans do not have to meet the Obamacare guidelines.
In otherwords, if you are 60, and have a plan written on or before 2010, and haven't been cancelled by the carrier, you can keep that plan.
Probably should add, most will call or refer to these as "grandfathered plans or policies".
Obama or the MSM will mention this very little as they need people in the exchanges for their Obamacare plan to work.

Well, i don't know what XM you are listening to, but the XM i am listening to spelled the HHS head yesterday saying under oath that grandfathered plans that do not meet the ObamaCare minimum standards are canceled by the insurance providers.
which is a major part of the rezone so many plans are been canceled now.
she was actually very proud of the fact that those plan are been canceled, she even said so, because we cannot shop for ourselves, the gov. is telling us which plan to choose from.

just bought a plan last week and received a confirmation yesterday that is was approved.....

I don't think XM radio is very reliable info source....like believing the Onion....LOL

HINT: why don't you guys just go out and buy a policy and find out the truth ....instead of pages of rumours and fiction

it was a live uncut uninterrupted broadcast from the congressional hearing about the failing healthcare.gov featuringKatheleen Sebelius.
XM had nothing to do with it.

It seems that the single payer model is in our future. After reading this wiki page it is obvious that the old saying you get what you pay for is not true when it comes to our health care. Canada and Britain both have superior effective plans and spend less.

Comparison of the health care systems in Canada and the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is a very good reason we spend more for healthcare and it has nothing to do with not having a similar system. We have better healthcare hands down and we WAY, WAY over medicate ourselves and our children.

Way too simple.

Where's the drama? Where's the intrigue? Where's the chance to ask "do ya want some cheese with that whine?"

I went out and bought mine in the private sector....and have no problems at all....I am thinking some are reading news articles and getting conflicting facts....I am not saying there are not any problems...

you know...I went to sign my new policy and the pen run out of ink....darn...Obama's fault!!!

ALSO...keep in mind YOUR Congress signed this into law....
