WHY...do we have to do a DOT physical?
Why do we have to do maintenance reports? that is mind boggling as well.....
I do wonder about the Physicals for vans (if answered sorry i am still catching up) but to add my question why doesn't Load 1 use the electronic post trips on the QC instead of these paper things? LOL

Ok so if i read this correctly non-CDL Van drivers do not have to complete 1 year or 2 year (depends what you clear for) DOT Physcials once signed on. if that is true Kurt just wasted 40 bucks LOL

I am with you there all but 1 i am happy with... and that one really ticked me off...
Last I knew it was an interface with our software issue. As elogs are more and more becoming mainstream I will have it looked at again.

Just delivered a couple heavy cement pads to an ATT facility that the lineman and such run out if. Spent about an hour there. It was a neat experience that brought back a lot of memories. When I was a young boy before my dad passed he managed the local phone company. After school each day I would make a beeline for dads office to hang out. On the weekends dad we take me to the place just like I was at this morning. Him and his buddies would be working on dads hobby of antiuque tractors and I would be their gofer. I remember having a fascination with those skinny little phone wires and could spend forever twisting, shaping and just playing with them. This morning brought that all back. Wish I could have had more years with him.

When I was a very young girl, my folks ran the Bison telephone Co. We had one of those old "Lilly Tomlin" switchboards in the front office along with a small telephone booth. Mom was the operator and Dad was the lineman for the whole country. The rings were still the shorts and the longs..and the party lines presented a lot of the local entertainment. You were supposed to see if it was your ring before you answered, but anyone on the party line could pick up and listen. I still have one of those old phones. Good memories..thanks for bringing them back this morning xiggi!
Henderson Tn, wait for my sister to get here so we can take my 93 year old Dad and his 92 year old girl friend to the doctor. Oh what joy. WW ll vet, going to out live us all.
Well that is quite a life. I am sure the stories they could tell....and most likely do.
On the way out the door, he gave me a check. Go to the Funeral Home and take care of that for me. So while my sister was with them at the doctor I was sending him off with style.
