LOL, no one idolizes me, so i guess I didn't make my self an idol now did i, and i have no use for this pos messiah of the sheeple, so i guess i am ok ther too!! But the sheeple sure do this messiah in the white house!!!!!:D

And Honda, you are right, they would be fun at 100 yrs!!!! Just "tickle" the top of them and make the "springs" wiggle!!! Then take them off! :D

No personal offence chefdennis but the sheer volume of your posts is really gnawing at my patience and reducing my enjoyment here on EO.
I'm wondering if you might consider posting your trash about your new president and your 2nd amendment rights in the social groups section.. like maybe make one for guns and one for obama updates or something. All the people who want to read it could just go there.. and that way the rest of us won't have to wade thru all the trash to get to to the expediting-related threads? Sounds like a win-win to me.

Well Pjjj, no offense taken at all. But as for when I post, the The soapbox takes in Politics and the discussion of both the newly elected president and 2A or both political topics, and since I have NEVER had any warnings or even had a complaint from the owner of the site or any of the mods, I think I am posting in the right area.

Sorry for the "gnawing" issue, i'd simply suggest that you not read my post, there is an ignore function that will allow you to not even see them..

Again no ofense taken and I hope you don't take any offense in my responce.

When this Forum was contemplated, I was a Moderator, so I know what was hoped for here: lively discussions of current issues & events from all viewpoints.
It has become something else, and it's no longer worth wading through the wallpaper to find any intelligent discussions.
Chef, how about joining the "Obama scares me" social group for your rants on that subject, and let the Soapbox go back to what it was before you co-opted it with cut & paste statements? They appear at such a pace that discussion or counterpoint becomes nearly impossible for many of us to participate.
If you continue, you and your like-minded posters will soon have the whole place to yourselves by default, and that's not what it was created to achieve.
I'd like to see more participation in the Soapbox, but it's going the other way the last few months, ya know?

Go back to 3/9 then go forward till 3/19....i left on the 9th, came back on the 19th...didn't post a single new topic, and for the most part, the topics remained the same... and i wasn't here

Do I add to the post count, you bet I do, so can you..simply post the topics that you care to share, its really just that simple. As I said, put me on ignore and you don't even see my post.

I have not been made aware of any rules that I have broken, others post on the threads and there is agreement and disagreement...if the topics don't appeal to you personally isn't my problem, they must appeal to others since they garner responses.

A few called for Greg to come back, i am glad to see Greg back, his point of view was and is always welcome, and as most have seen, he os a regular poster on the threads I start...so if you wanted him back, now you want the threads he post on to stop?? I think you were looking for him to come back and "put me in my place" with his posting style, I guess it is a surprise that more often then not, him and I are on the same page....

Please point out the rules I am breaking and I'll correct that. Other then that, you have the power to control what you read, don't read my post if you don't like the content....

I understand that I an a "Guest" of the sites owner while here, that owner and his Mods have NEVER contacted me as to the # of post or the Content or any other thing since I have been a member, so obvisously they understand that their rules are not being broken...when they share an issue of rules violation with me, I'll correct it, until that time, I done see an issue, all i see are "personal" issues with the topic of post(s), they type and with the poster, sorry, its not my problem....

My guess is that you won't hear from any of the powers-that-be unless you specifically defy the rules, I was appealing more on a do-me-a-favor level. I have not put anyone on ignore yet, and I really hope I never have to do that. Not even with you chefdennis, because I do believe you may have relevant input to add to what this site was intended to be.

It isn't that posts regarding the odd political thing aren't welcomed in the Soapbox section, it's more the sheer volume of your threads and posts that make it annoying to me. I wouldn't use the fact that nobody posted in that section while you were gone as an indication of it being just for you though, becuz you seem to have taken it over. It would probably take longer than a month or so for people to realize it was back up for grabs for its intended purpose.

I realize I can put you on ignore, but like I said, I don't want to. The way I use EO is to go to 'today's posts', since I'm a regular reader. I also don't want to go through many added steps just to avoid the Soapbox. I find this site slow at the best of times. I was just hoping you might realize there is a section you can go to for like-minded people to follow your posts, without the rest of the membership having to wade through it.

You missed the point, the point was that There WERE still post, but not mine, the factwas that the "topics" post were basically the same, not all but most dealt with politics, the bailouts, barry, and the like, someone posted about crabgrass, the post topics stayed basically the same...so its not just me...

PS:

If you look, I avg 3 new threads a day, sometimes 4 or 5, sometimes 1 or 2, somedays none....Now i do respond to others threads, but on an avg, 3 a day. and no I didn't go back 3, 6, 9, months or even a yr, just the last month, but it doesn't matter, since I have never seen or been made aware of a limit on threads or post per day, week, month or year...........

You know it you post your own threads, mine won't all run together, on the list, and it makes for more and different conversations.

I wouldn't say you and Greg are on the same page. Greg has insightful things to say from your "side of the isle" possibly, but the comparison ends there.
