...Along with a video campaign and a new social network-based movement creation site, Gen We will leverage the web and social networking to give the power back to the people,...
"Power to the People" - when have we heard that mantra before? "Change the World" - I'll bet these kids think they're the first ones to come up with this concept. This is the group that supposedly elected Barack Hussein Obama, and they can see first hand how that change will work out over the next three years. They've already seen one year's worth of floundering incompetence, and maybe a lot of them will grow up considerably by the time 2012 gets here. However, there will be a good percentage of them that will never be more than pampered spoiled brats expecting the world (or the govt) to provide the living they think is owed to them.
Unfortunately, I know of too many parents from my generation (Baby Boomers) that have their twenty or early thirty-somthing year old children living in their basement. There seems to be no stigma among this "WE" generation for continuing to be dependant on their parents even when they're adults. Just as there is no shame anymore for unwed girls or young women getting pregnant in spite of them being neither mentally nor financially capable of supporting and raising a child. This is the "if it feels good, we should be able to do it" generation. No one should dare to be judgemental towards them - just make sure the working public pays their "fair share" of taxes so they get these liberated young souls get their govt-provided entitlements.
Hopefully, it won't take another Great Depression or World War to bring the WE Generation into reality.
