So what is the cause of the allergy to the sun? medication, heredity?

It may be medication but what ever it is, I am in the at-risk group now and will be for the rest of my life.

You'd said you got burned on your lower back..the image I have is you bent over your garden and the back of your shirt rode up... That's gotta be painful trying to sit and drive..have you tried aloe?

Well it was caused by two things, one was working on my truck where I got a bit tanned and the other was sitting in a folding chair for a couple hours with the sun against my back. I wish it was something like gardening.

Aloe?

I used up a whole BiG plant and a few of those cans of concentrate. It was the only thing that actually kept me going.

Aloe works good, but I have used Solarcaine too!!! that and a couple aspirin helps with the pain

The amount of pain was high, I used something aloe with lidocaine in it and it helped me sleep but overall it was a hard two weeks and happy it is over.

Yeah, sounds bad, I know I am miserable when I get burned
I burned alot when younger, as I get older I avoid the sun and search for shade, not to say an occasional burn doesn't happen
The days of blisters and turning lobster red are over for me.
I also have to go to the dermatologist yearly now and get pre cancers burned off.

Well I sure am glad I mowed yesterday...it's supposed to be 91 today. Also pulled the pea vines after picking the last of the peas..I'll be making another pasta salad with them. And it looks like I should be picking another batch of green beans...

Just picked another dishpan full of green beans...my afternoon is now ..busy? shot? nope..a whole lot cooler cuz I can sit in my recliner and snap beans...*l*

Boy is it hot out there..sweat rolling off my face into the green beans...AND I have cukes...will start canning pickles probably next week. The corn is coming along nicely too..and the coons haven't been in yet..none on the ground. And I'll have lots of peppers to make those poppers for my kid..I think they'll love them.:)

Update...Harvesters are here, lasagna's in the freezer, and going to make some hamburger patties ahead. When it cools down this evening I need to check the cukes to make sure they can wait until I have little hands to teach...:)
