Looks like mother nature is going to give me a break for the week..projected rain/t-storms all week. Hopefully it won't all dodge around us.

5/18....... got 2/10 of an inch last night..thank goodness I mowed off my dandelion heads..lawn and garden look good this morning!

5/20 1.3 inches in the rain gauge and three more days of rain predicted..won't have to water for a week after it quits! Everything is so green...even the trees are greening up nice.

5/20 Since I dumped .2 inches on 5/18 from the showers during the night...I'm officially now at 2 inches of rain since then.

5/22 Got some weeding done..spinach..collards..green beans and cleaned the horseradish patch. Picked a few stray onions and had them with meatloaf for lunch! Need to plant some lettuce and reseed the beans this afternoon. My tomatoes are flowering too!

5/23 Finally got my rose garden cleaned up and weeded. I've got new growth on all but one and it appears to have not survived the winter. Watering the garden as it's too wet to mow and all the seeds I replanted yesterday need the moisture. It'll be warmer tomorrow and hopefully less windy and I'll call that mowing day!

Got all the mowing done yesterday and then I refilled the bird feeders and bird baths. I was admiring my handiwork this morning and saw this young rabbit eyeballing the birds. It's kind a rare sight to see a rabbit on the lawn with all my killer cats so I was enjoying the spectacle. Just hope he doesn't find my garden!!!

And it's a rainy Memorial day and looks to be pretty wet for the rest of the week. I was hoping to get another row dug for the sweet potato plants which will be in this week and plant a couple banana pepper plants I picked up yesterday. Might have to do it barefoot at this rate because the mud in the garden right now would surely suck off my shoes!

Now I'm sad...can't find a replacement rose that will take zone 4!

5/28 got my sweet potato row hoed again and put the banana peppers at the front of the row. and it's a MOW day for sure as the next 4 days are promising more rain.

5/30 Another inch and a half in the rain gauge this morning..and it's still coming down. According to weather.com 3.3 inches in the last 7 days..at this rate I won't have to water the garden for a month!

6/1 My sweet potato plants came in the mail today...going to try to get them planted as soon as I can get into the garden! Meanwhile the roots are soaking up some water as they get pretty dry in shipping.
