Monterey tn, near cookeville tn,,,exit 300, I 40 was closed due to wrecks, maybe open now,,trying to find out It is 3:15PM central time here...

just woke from nap....and it is still coming down......
ya know when you think of it.....that is really a silly thing to say.....
like the snow will ever be going UP?......LOL if it was going up it wouldn't be on the ground?.....

It only goes up when the wind catches it and sends it up! Lol it's quit snowing at home and the sun is out!

City of Cookeville TN - Ricky Shelton, Mayor
The Level II – State of Emergency activation is effective as of 3:00 p.m., CST, on 2/21/15. The SEOC is receiving reports of major impacts to infrastructure, power and roads as a result of the overnight snow and ice storm and the current heavy rain in TN.
The heaviest impacts are in the Cumberland Plateau area of Tennessee with heavy damage reports and power outages in Cumberland, Fentress, Overton, Putnam and White counties.
RESPONSE ACTIONS
Tennessee National Guard as two Humvee crews, with four staff members, working on wellness checks in White County with another three crews, and six staff members, to be deployed.
Roads in the city and county are flooding somewhat and ice that has piled up along some roads is prevent run off, lots of deep puddles.....
