For those members here in the soapbox that worship at the alter of Reagan, here again is Reagan repeating the Buffett rule that the President has been advocating.

Reagan the Socialist, who'd a thunk it?

The solution to the nations debt is not taxation... It is spending. Get the federal government back to constitutional levels of authority, and an income tax wouldn't be needed... But neither of the parties that 95% of you vote for will turn their backs on the lobbyists that own them to do what is line with the constitution they all swear to defend. Last I checked that was treason... IMHO

Bad idea then, bad idea now, but the tax structure needs repaired. But speaking of the Socialist ideas, heard today Obama wants billions for Fannie and Freddie to bail out the underwater homeowners. But Obama says he has free money from the TARP program that wasn't spent. 20B to be exact.
Government needs to stay out of housing all together.

Reagan raised taxes more then he cut them...thats not new news....and yes as Gary said, cutting gov spending and the size of government is the key to recovery....that and removing those that wont do as they swore and swear to...in whatever way is necessary......

The Buffett Rule would supposedly bring in 3 billion a year to the federal government. That is .023% of the 2012 projected deficit. ;) I mean I hate it when I laugh while I'm drinking diet coke and it goes up my nose.
Buffett Rule would bring in less than $3 billion a year in revenue « Hot Air

Your right. It would have little impact. When you have almost 50 percent of the population on a government program, that is where the actual problem is. Just have to cut off all the goofy spending. Government Vegas parties, fraud, long term unemployment, Solyndra programs, and the list goes on. That is where you will find the money. Spending is certainly the problem.

I was born in 1962, and in my lifetime we have had nothing but unconstitutional democrat and republican buffoons not only in the oval office, but also the congress and the senate... But we keep electing them!

Ronald Reagan is acknowledged as the most conservative President of the modern era. If we could get someone to the right of Reagan elected, that would be a nice change.

Never happen with 50% in the wagon.. Never happen with the Media in the hip pocket of the democrats.. Never happen with the socialists running public schools..

we won't even get Romney who is slightly to the right of Obama.

There are other candidates and parties to choose from... You republicans just keep voting for the light evil candidate and then debate if they are "less filling" or "taste great", when you could vote for the real deal... But this is a free country! Or should I say was...

I won't vote for the socialist or the commie...

As of right now, I might just vote NOTA for president.

Or you can support another party like the Constitution Party, Libertarian Party, or even the Green Party if they fit your beliefs. If you aren't going to throw your vote away on the lesser of two evils, you might as well vote for a building a good party... IMHO

That is the same thing people said about Bush 4 years ago and we got Obama. Then in 4 years they will say the same thing about Romney (if he wins), and America just keeps putting on the same old worn out shoes trying to convince themselves that they are new...
