A spokesperson for the NTSB reports there is no evidence that the driver of the truck braked before the impact.

Also stated the bus operator had a good safety record.

2007 Volvo so I don't think it could have been regen.

Animation on ABC this morning has the FedEx Logo big as it can be. No logo on the bus.

I have yet to see mention from the MSM that the car had one of those New Age Crystals hanging from its rear-view mirror. The driver and passenger of the car were channeling through the crystal and the FedEx driver was drawn to the crystal like a moth to a flame. It was California after all.

Also no mention of Teamster sponsored sabotage to the FedEx truck. Could be an Obama led, pro union, government coverup in the works.

I learned early on about speculation. Years ago a buddy asked me to bring my mini bike to his house. Had me line it up with the dent and crack in the back of his older brother's Stingray vert. He was sure someone hit it after not making the corner and flew over the top where their belt buckle caused a small tear in the 'vert's top.

For fear of my life, I never told, and sworn to secrecy, middle brother snuck the car out while big bro was out of town and backed into a fence post at my house days before. Some 40 yrs later, big brother is the only surviving brother, not sure if he ever learned the truth.

FedEx, for some unknown reason, was on the wrong side of the road. If you are out here long enough, barriers and railings may or may not make a difference. In my short 7 years of driving for a living, I have witnessed three 'wrong way' vehicles, all 4 wheelers, all at nite, one coming up an exit ramp and the other 2 traveling down the interstate on the inside lane against the jersey wall. The spooky one was when I came up on the one coming head on. I was able to slow enough in time to wave and flash him down to get his attention enough to turn 'em around, 'hello 911, please connect me to the hwy patrol'........

Come to find out that the driver took over in Sacramento because of a shift change not for a accident. I thought it would have been hard for the first driver to make the run within the 12 hours he or she needed.
Story told by a surviving student to a major LA TV station. I just googled Orland Ca Bus Crash.

Dig deeper. Although it may have been a scheduled driver change, were they running late,as I stated, because of a previous accident that day ?
Just curious. Really had no bearing on the accident itself.

I wonder if the driver had a mefical emergency like a heart attack or something or something in the cab made him loose concousness.

Headline says he worked a long shift.
If all he did each day was a 460 mile trailer swap, that's a very easy shift.

Seriously, when I was at Roadway, and I got a easy trl swap like that, it almost felt like a day off..

My guess is he drove 230 miles, and got his 30 minute break at Weed, either before or after his trl switch.
So, accident was approximately 2.5-3 hours after his break.

How is 350 miles considered a "long shift" in this business? That remark in itself is scary. MORE regulations coming soon?

Almost 8 hours with one 30 minute break.
That would be a horribly long shift for a government employee.

The driver drove 7 Hours out of the 11 allowed. Boy you talk about "Media Spin". It`s a real stretch to call this a "long shift"

Isn't a 7 hour shift a blessing? We just did 2 days of the full 11 hours back to back to get to vegas. That I could see being called a long shift. 7 hours. Please...

That stupid reporter sits in her cubicle and thinks 7 hours is a long shift. Give me a break! It appears other newspapers are running her story with the same inflaming headline.

It is ALL about controlling us. They don't want anyone but company/union drivers. THAT is what PIZZAUNT Annie and the crew are after and PRAVDA will do all they can to make it happen.
