Lugnut: you are wrong. Absolutely, unquestionably, irrefutably WRONG. Both in stating your speculation of the reason for Phil's post as a fact [something you can't possibly know] and in your contention that anyone here cares about impressing the advertisers, except possibly you.

Lugnut Says; Impressing the advertisers? Impressions are reference to each time a banner ad on the web page you view is displayed. The advertisers pay for the banner impressions. Does that help you?

Quote; Cheri 2000 “Something you have a history of taking without provocation, and if you think no one noticed, again: you're wrong.” Unquote.

Lugnut Says; Dang! Do I have a history? Yea, I admit It is a sorted past, with many unquestionably guiling comments. What? Don’t you like diversity? You wouldn’t be discriminating against me or something? You’re defending Phil, my oh my, I’m certain you have earned a darker nose for your bashing of me.

It makes absolutely no difference to me, or to most members, and that was my point.

'sorted'? 'guiling'? Please use a dictionary - either the spelling or meaning is FUBAR. [Look that up too, while you're at it.]

Pointing out your deception isn't "defending" anyone - it's simply pointing out your deception.

I don't know about some of this, the carriers are not the police of sub-contractors and like this site, which seems to be misunderstood about their purpose and what they do or don't do, the carrier needs to keep the hell out of any dispute between an owner and a driver - period.

IF there is a need to get involved, it is only with safety issues or issues directly effecting a customer.

We all speculate about things, most of the time we hear one half of one fourth of the truth and many times truth is only relative to the person there (Turtle and someone else had a discussion about truth, etc...). This OP may or may not have a legit issue with the carrier but on the other hand the carrier isn't and shouldn't be required to go beyond the issues of safety and/or fulfilling their needs for their customers. If the person who wants to drive doesn't want to treat this as a business, AND many don't, it is not the problem of the carrier or anyone else for that matter.

I offered some solutions but I will offer one that the carrier can do - for every applicant that is given an application packet, have a sheet explaining the carrier's role with fleet owners and how they should seek profession advice outside of the fleet owner/carrier to protect them in that application packet. A simple one page sheet limits the liability to the carrier at the same time ensuring that information is given to applicant.

Another observation, though this time it is about you. Just say no to drinking and typing a post. I barely got through your last post the bashing was so pitiful. Are we done here yet? Or is there more you need to say. Try the ignore button for me, you’ll feel better.

That's so far out in left field it's not even worth going after.

I barely got through your last post the bashing was so pitiful.
Ditto for this one.

Again [surprise!] you are wrong: ignoring people who say things I don't like doesn't make me feel better.
I have a feeling that my using the 'ignore' button would make you feel better, though...So - fuhgeddaboutit. :D

That's enough you two. Take it to a pm because this thread is done. We are sufficiently off topic to close this.
