LOL.. he already told me it was stacked up.. ;) ... probably drop paperwork and run. This one pays enough to DH out somewhere with less competition.

So how much fuel and wear and tear in addition to time are you going to spend cruising around, trying to be #1.....when if you are patient and wait it out, you may be out sooner than you think where you are at already.Remember the last time you took a load to Manchester? You saw there were several in that area and you bounced all the way up to Indy little by little before you got a load....To the yard, if I am not mistaken....so where is the logic in that? All of those empty miles. ... to end up where you started?

What I am saying is that, ( And you and I have had this conversation before and agreed on it) That a huge number of vans at the yard does not warrant a panic, being as we do not know how many of that number are local, canadian only, etc...And we both know dispatch is capable of moving 16 vans out in one day....we've seen it before....The enemy here is the economy, and the cheap freight rate companies giving themselves and their drivers away. And this thing called a fiscal cliff...lol..

Drive less...Make more...$$$...

It's not how much you run,
It's how much you run for... $$$ :D

Please understand, not trying to pick a fight over this, but in this day and age, with this market being so unpredictable, what once used to be "Good areas" are no longer, Is it wise to move around so much? Should we be giving dispatch more time and faith in doing their job?

I guess everyone has their own style of expediting, what works for me might not work for you, and vice versa. But with fuel and maintenance being the biggest expense for us, I would think it would be wise to keep those down as much as possible to maintain a respectable profit. Just sayin'

Yea, 13 miles away from the 200 mile away from home limit....I could of moved to Dexter to get it, but yesterday was a busy day doing things here, and the way I am feeling, I just didnt have it in me..God knows how much I really could of used the money as well....And I do feel somewhat guilty moving there to get it. I know, as you have said, business is business...or don't make it too personal....but, still....Were all in this together as well.

Man you all kinda been a pi♥♥y bunch today or yesterday. The freight gods have put a curse on you. LOL. Just givin you all a hard time. But on the subject. We do very little moving either. Just can get the cost out of my head. To each his own though. As long as you dont purposely move and bump me back with only a few hours difference in layover time. Thats just cheap and dirty and unexcusable unless there is no where else to go.
