that is great..I've had 2 double loads out of there as well....thanks to the big J..and Russel...
listening to a straight truck guy talking about being busy is as relative to a CV as night is to day....and the other way round of course...
that borderlines on Pantherization right there.....averages are screwy at best...just says 50% of fleet is doing well while it brings up the numbers on the units not doing so good....IMO Sir....

Well have to base it on averages since some guys only work part time hint hint. When you look at week by week and month by month you get a pretty accurate picture. Not sure if the relevance to Panther but I will give you their recruiting number if you need it (poke poke poke)? I have always focused on the averages and that hasn't changed. Every unit runs different every week based on time off wants or requirements. If the averages are up and above a certain number the fleet is generally healthy. Everyone has a great week or a bad week. The average over time is the real test of a carrier. The average is what adds up at the end of the year. Not a good week or a bad week.

Yep we focus on averages also. As long as all the trucks hit the averages we have established weekly then we are doing very well. So far we are doing very well. Don't think we will stray from the average way of thinking anytime soon.

a 4 week running average tells you nothing.... but that maybe 50% of the fleet is running really well while the other 50% not so well....last month I made 12K another driver did only 6...that would give you an average of 9k per unit...to which you say we are doing great....tell that to the guy at 6k.....that is all wrong in short term numbers....
Long term that works....short term numbers don't support that theory....
A percentage of the fleet is always out of service. That is a pretty consistent. So that goes back to the averages being the real number any business man runs on. That is true whether it is Load One or our owner operators. It is a pretty basic business concept.
