That would never work for her.. I'd be moving into the office permanently.. plus, gotta see those 2 new grandbabies of mine LOL. I figure with where we live, I'll be by the house more often than some... I see on here most everyone is thru Ohio often.

Side note folks, I assume layover time starts when I POD, since there's no check in. I know you have to remain available during that time tho right? So, if I went out of service to sleep last night, so I wouldnt have to turn anything down, did I mess it up?

Don't worry Dale, She will get use to it quicker then you think...Then when you do get home, after 3-4 days, she will be askin when you are getting out of the house and back on the road!!! :D

Yeap Layover starts a time of POD...I don't often go out of service for sleep, unless it is just an absolute thing that i need a long sleep..then yea....

Did you messup? No one knows for sure...but i certainly wouldn't worry about it, it all works out in the end..

I haven't ever turned in any layover does it need to be approved by dispatch or anything. I never sat more than 48 hours so really never felt like I needed to turn it in.

Dale, you're elgible for layover after 24 hours. Most guys don't claim it until they've gone over the 48 hours. And you can move...as long as you're not out of service, it doesn't affect your layover.
and I gotta go...got a hungry man to feed...:D

Dale, one guy use to keep his layover and empty move info till the end of the month and then send it in...that came to a stop i believe...I have one from when i was in Laredo 2 weeks ago...probably won't send it in...I am not a big fan of using it every single time it is available...i mean who else pays you to sit? And we all know that sitting is part of the business....

Chris, you use the QC #'s 33 and 34...just fill in the screen info...empty moves need to be offered by dispatch to be paid...layover is automatic from the time of POD, but as Jenny said most dont send it in until 48 hours have passed and yes you can move without losing your time you sat as long as you are in service or not at home....

I hate the term "dry run". Too clinical and doesn't aptly describe the situation. Should be called the Mood Killer or somethin'.
