Yep ... from Elizabethtown to Bowling Green was fun .... 55 mph construction zone ... trucks running 65 mph ... hard rain ... barely see white lines .. it was keep up with the Big Dogs and follow their tail lights or get off the road .... I ran with the Big Dogs .....Well, you have fun in this storm all the way down I-65. 300 miles at 50 and 40 mph. Still 350 to go. It's outside of Cleveland to a few hundred miles in the gulf. Slobber knocker it is. High winds blinding rain and a lot of standing water I mean a lot!!!!!

That's the way we do it here, it all goes out and very little comes back. I normally don't venture to far out, so I'm home most nights, currently sitting in Manchester, Ct. delivered 130am and now im sitting sippin coffee, waiting for that first call. and fast? to respond to your akron comment, i been living in akron most my life and yes it most definitely seems to be a great freight area. i never have issue getting out, its getting back TO AKRON/HOME that is the issue, lol. seems when i leave i always move freight south, sw, east etc. with nothing sending me back upward with the occasional Illinois run is bout as close as i get, lol then most times DH home.
short run kinda guy? i thought bout tryin to only take short runs but was unsure how my dispatch would feel concerning it, just to see how i would do in comparison to mix n matching big/small etc. i make VERY good money on short runs but seems their few far and in between. That's the way we do it here, it all goes out and very little comes back.
