Drove home from Chillicothe. Laying in bed after dang busy week. Mad and happy at my dads other driver, on settlement day thought I had a okay week with a gross of $1100 w/FS. He grossed $2968 w/FS. Realize that is personal info but I'm hating because I'm jealous lol

Is he in the Sprinter? If so, that opens up the doors to a lot more loads. More available loads potentially means less deadheading to the next load and less sitting. Just my opinion and experience.
Payload capacity (including both dims and weight) can make a world of difference. I miss out on a ton of loads from only being able to carry an absolute maximum of 49.25" height. But, like the load that brought me home Friday, sometimes even that extra inch from not having plywood gets another load. I brought two machine carts from Shelby Twp to Saint Paris Friday. Rate I bid was more like a large straight truck rate. Sure, a long shot, but was worth the risk IMO. And the broker likes us and seemed to be tickled we even bid at the high rate that we did. Maybe the Sprinters in the Detroit area didn't want to get dumped in the sticks on a Friday afternoon. But sometimes it works out well.

He is in a sprinter so he gets the higher rate than my ford does but he's only in the short roof 144'. My ford can haul more weight and is longer. But I'll never own one again because it beats me to death driving on them Yankee roads. A utterly unrefined platform, I am a sprinter homer now solely because of ride and drive qualities.

Sorry for the tangent lol

This is true. This week did one local run but the rest of the time I was running Volvo and Mack parts between Maryland and Pennsylvania. Then more Mack/Volvo stuff out to Chicago. But on my way back to Chillicothe I carried Kenworth parts. Local run was F150 related and the rest Tactor related. Was loaded more than empty this week so I'm worn out but happy lol

Hey it's only money.

Think back to your birthday and think LIFE IS GOOD. :)

I look at that 2 ways.
It BA that I'm only 25 and have gotten several advantages that most people don't get because I drive for my dad and part own with him.

The other way is I have to do this for like the next 25-50 years. Maybe I'll keep building until I have a fleet the size of swift, cr England, and 5 more companies combined and be rich and buy an island

Buy the island now and build a nudist resort.

Potential load West Chester Ohio to near Pittsburg 130 miles DH and still a good rate. Potentially even including a drive home.
