Tell my wife that.
We're pretty low overhead. At least when it comes to our carrier operations. We certainly don't live in some high end house. But we do have FUN!! Not like fishing or playing checkers. But more like entertaining the kids and ourselves. We will NOT be "taking it with us". LOL!!

Take the wife and kids fishing. It's inexpensive, fun, and they will learn a SKILL that can feed them for life! Your kids will NEVER forget the time you spent with them on the water!

Much more inexpensive if Joe loans you that new bass boat of his.

WRONG as per normal, I own NO bass boat! LOL!!! I DO own a now two year old hunting boat that I use for walleye and catfishing. I seldom fish for bass, FAR too easy to be fun!

There is NO need for a boat to teach kids how to fish, that is a myth.

You talked of having the kids ON THE WATER.

Murray's a good expeditor, but I do not believe he can walk on water.

Ok, loan him your NonBass Boat.
If you're in it and catch a bass, what happens ?

I throw back ALL largemouth and smallmouth bass. IF I keep ANY bass I keep silver bass! Pan fish are pan fish.

I KNOW what walking on water is. EASY around here this winter.

There is NO more important lesson to teach a kid than the lesson on how to provide food.

Bass boat? NO FREAKIN WAY! Too limited for producing food!

Some just watch far too much TV!

Yeah, we need to again. We took them boating last year. Maybe 2 ago. Rented a pontoon and did a little bow fishing. It's funny how kids CAN have so much fun fishing and bit even get a nibble. Maybe next time we take a skillet and actually PLAN on catching fish!

Nice!!! Thanks JOE!!! You rock!!

LOL!! Bring up a kid or two later this year, I will tell you when, and I will "ruin" them for life! They would catch SO many fish their arms will HURT! Then we can teach them how to clean and cook them.

I don't get to spoil my granddaughter or my grandnephew. SO, I need OTHER kids to spoil!

Late May, early June. I have room for one adult and two kids. We would likely catch several hundred fish in just a few hours.

Michigan has only one species of fish in the bass family. They are know locally as "silver" bass, called "white" bass in most other regions. When they spawn they are in by the millions. Last year, when I took my brother and nieces, we caught well over 400 fish!

Fish like these fishing from this boat:

Posted a video in the "Woods and Waters" forum. Don't know the people but they are fishing where I fish.

In Ontario Bass season opens June 1st...near or after the spawn or after the long weekend...that would be the Black Bass or small mouth....not the large mouth

There is no closed season on Silver (white) Bass, even in Ontario's waters. Small mouth and large mouth, black bass, are not really bass but the silver (white) bass is a true bass.

I don't know what Michigan's season are on large and small mouth, I don't fish for them.

Our truck is finished, BUT, right now we can't get out of our driveway to go get it. As soon as the drive gets plowed we will go get it and get back in service.
