Headed home. Generator failed. Overloads even with nothing plugged in. Looks like it's 2-year warranty will come in handy. Hopefully it can go in the shop quick. Otherwise I'll buy one of those disposable Harbor Freight gensets to fill in.
I have plenty of honey-dos to kill the rest of this week.

That would be good then...Steddy Eddie could spend time with you up there in the summer and you spend time at his house in winter.....like an Expediters time share ...... Lol

And into heavy snow on the East Coast. These dry roads in WI are kinda nice, it's not all THAT cold, it's +3 right now! Got up to a blistering +22 today, had to take my jacket off it was so hot!

That would be "Irvine", California. Do you really want to go East young man? It was 77 in Tucson today as I cruised westward with my shorts and sandals on, and is suppose to get in the high 80's by Saturday. Ah yes, sunny Southern California, Irvine included. Can you say "Snowbirds"???

Trust me, I just went across Donner Pass (East) on Friday morning with zero viability and snow chains, which are a first for this So Cal boy, and on into freezing fog south of San Antonio, which was weird because I stopped by The Alamo on Sunday noon and got sunburned on my way to Brownsville.

You don't want to go East, take the Irvine load... or maybe not, because then you'll want to get out of here at .70/mile and take a good load away from me. Ok, head East all you want!!!

I don't want to get into too much detail....I have no problem letting you run CA to your hearts content...as I have no problem letting the southern Florida gang do their thing....and the NYC gang do their thing.....I've been in this business too long and been to CA and NEVER gotten a load out. Always had to DH to Nogales or El Paso......also our bidding staff won't do .70 loads....

my guess is the hard lug of running an electric heater on it...i have a Honda I still heat when its real cold w/ my LP heater ..i cringe listening to the gen scream for hours on end...2 things you can guarantee in life..
1) the sun will come up tomorrow
2) your Honda will start

Like 1 & 2.
Oil was a little low, although just changed and filled 10 days ago.
Aux tank may be positioned to low compared to genset. Maybe it was just getting a slight trickle and not able to jack the RPMs. Filled oil. Going to Lowe's for some "build-up" lumber to elevate the aux tank a few more inches.
THEN a test. Fingers crossed.

Murray and I talked on the phone...he real close to maximum...might be too close for an off brand to handle...I know Honda says do not run at max for an extended time....2000W at they recommend no more then 10% of max rating is 1800 W's....anything over 1800 and your in lala land....
