I searched the archives and found it was decided this would be used and promoted on the web site. What happened with that?

TerryandRene' you must be on the wrong channel as I keep calling you and you wont answer. Are you sure you are on 29?

Maybe one of you is having a dyslexic moment and is on channel 92.

I was heading West from Belleville, MI on I-94 a while back and noticed a couple of Canadian drivers jawing on the CB as they went by. Nothing was coming over 19, so I started flipping channels.....found them on 29 and they were speaking French.

Although I didn't understand anything they were saying, I stayed tuned in for quite a while. Their chatter was non-stop and other drivers were joining in as they rolled by in the East bound lanes.

It was an interesting diversion for the hour or so that they were in range.

For some reason East of Montreal going up to NewBrunwick and Nova Scotia the Candadians use Channel 1.

If all of the expediters would use channel 29 we would leave our CB on. Now the only time the CB comes on is if the road is blocked and then just to find out what the problem is and off it goes.

That's pretty much the only way mine gets used too... except when I'm monitoring channel 92. :+

Canadians are more talkative, and that is because they generally have more to say. I always understood that the QC'ers used channel 1, but Rich is also correct that farther east they do as well. I feel bad for the QC'ers and Pakistanis, they take a lot of heat in Ontario for sure!

What is the point of a channel 29, I can't even raise my "brothers" when I pass them, let alone any other expeditors. When I get a little bored, I leave 19 on and have some conversations in the states. Inevitably, some ex-con (you can always seem to tell) starts up the garbage, and off it goes... Just the way it is these days...

By then it is too late to take corrective action. I always have the cb on 19 and turn the squelch up and the volume low. Even while listening to music or books on cd if I hear a lot of chatter I will turn up the cb. It has saved me numerous times.

Driving in snow and ice I will listen to 19 exclusively to hear about wrecks, stalls etc. before I come upon them.

When I want to converse with my former colleagues I will find them on ch. 31.

Thats why I was asking. I leave my CB off most of the time and try to turn it on if I see another expeditor but have only gotten a response once. I passed of got passed by at least 8 on I 40 from Nashville to Little Rock on Saturday. If we had a common channel I would leave it on that all the time.

In a thread from about 6 years ago Lawrence stated he would promote channel 29 on this website as the expeditors CB channel. I assume it just died off but wanted to check.

Well, I'm on the road I listen to 19 unless I see a few FedEx Freight
trucks. For the most part they run on channel 4. I like the Ideal of running on Channel 29 . I will let our drivers know.

OK
so lets decide which channel it will be.
I personally use 19 all the time.
but would like to see one set up for expediters, Then I might use that channel more than 19

Maybe Lawrence could chime in and let us know what happened before. Otherwise, 29 is fine by me.

We will also have ours on 29 and see what happens. If the garbage gets moved over there then that will be turned off also.

Lanier, I remember this coming up before and I think the answer is that it just didn't take off. I'm with those that keep it turned off because I don't want to listen to the morons. I can't tell you how many times I've turned it on just to see what's going on, and within a minute I'm turning it back off. I'm willing to give 29 a shot.
