Ok I have my 10 posts is it time to put this thread to bed?
How’s this for a new one just an idea.
Are you really making all that money or are you full of BS, everyone get your 1099 out and let’s see!
We could discuss the best years we have had and the worst, and maybe talk about what causes contributed to our highs and lows.

I'm not making anywhere near the money this year as I did the same time frame last year. I'm thinking the economy has something to do with it.

I'm with Turtle, I grossed just about 125K each of the last 2 years. It don't look like I will come anywhere close to that this year.

so how long do i have to wait before i can personaly attack someone?
like flying J, with their parking lots too small or pilot truck stops, with their small parking lots. pilot has good coffie though, so that makes them kinda ok. petro is just too expensive in my opinion. ta, crappy service. rant, rave, blah blah, yackity smackity. so forth and so on.
going to find me a lot lizard that will pay me 50 bucks a week to ride around with me, and use my radio. she can cook, and make coffee and clean the truck. necessity is the mother of invention. lol

If that was the case EO would have alot of people posting about it. Teamcaffee, can you please tell us if this is the case since your still at FedEx Custom Critical. in all my years at the Fed I can say they never pulled that many leases. Even in 1995 when business levels was worse than they are now.
Let’s not get this blown out of proportion. What I herd from a good inside source was that 34 contracts with a total of 40 trucks got cut. Friday they cut 15 managers in house some of them are with in 6 months of retiring. I guess that’s what 20 to 25 years of loyalty gets ya. What do ya all think of not putting all your eggs in one basket, any feasible way to do it?

The annual culling of the fleet is generally cutting the bottom performers. This makes good business sense if you you want to remain strong. Why keep the habitual "service failure" specialist or the ones that come up with excuses and not results? I never heard of a specific amount of management cuts but 15 sounds too small. Why did they need all those positions anyways. And who was paying their salary? Might be with these additional cuts, we can see a leveling off of rate cuts or even rate increases. Hey I can dream and hope. I feel for anyone who got the corporate axe in Green Oh. But that is why I am not a corporate guy...I don't like its culture. As for the contracts, its a sensible way of keeping our reputation (and company) strong.

Good to see this sunomi of a post has built, crested. and now appears to have subsided.. I guess the old axiom of "even bad press is good press" this "deleted" post got 50 + post!!!! (an unintended consequence) peaked everybodies interest and has stayed on top for days .. Go2...you won! But it did not serve the Industry..
just some cross eyed observations.. Carrier "X" and others are on top for a reason and its usually not because they screw everybody over and over again.. not saying its not done from time to time..but hey someone is doing something right more often than not.......... 20 plus years in the industry go2.. go2 plan B (BTW I cant spell either.. But I can crunch the %$# out of some numbers)
