Diesel Stolen While Driver Sleeps

We had fuel stolen twice ( not a whole tank full but enough to know it was gone) and we bought the anti-siphon
devices and my husband installed them. So far no more
stolen fuel. Working pretty good right now. Bought them
at the Volvo dealership.

In 1979 while I was driving a company truck,fueled up in Barkeyville Pa,then made the mistake of going to sleep,never ever sleep on a full tank of fuel.When I reached what was then the 76 truck stop @ rt 46 in Austintown Oh,truck ran out of fuel on the ramp comming off I 80,What a back up that caused.Our company trucks had no fuel guages,on the dash,they were on the furel tanks,and when you just fill up,why check outside guages.I have never had fuel stolen since,But I did get my wallet stolen in St Pete Fl.While we were loading at the customer.My partner was watching them load,had wallet taken off the dash,thought it was him causing the truck to move around.That taught me not to carry cash in my wallet.Guess was lucky I didnt wake up.That happened in 1987.

Wonder if this time of year is especially bad for this.. people wanting to go home for Christmas without spending the cash for the deadhead?

Either they steal the fuel...or bid .40 a mile on an expedite load.

I've suffered a bit of misfortune as well. I woke up Friday morning in Chicago and not only was everything covered in snow, but my fuel tank was nearly empty, I had a strange sewn up incision in the vicinity of my kidneys and a rather sharp pain, and all my blinker fluid was gone. What is this world coming to?
