Scared might be a much better term description of deer behavior around roads than stupid. It is not the deer's fault that man has put roads and highways through the middle of their homes.

I much prefer it is stupid man then the deer...
It is amazing home we work against nature in just about everything we do instead of working with it. We could come out way ahead and accomplish the same things that we are today.
100,000's of thousand empty warehouses around the country...and what we do? Bulldoze perfectly good woods and farmland and build news ones....doh!!
Then theres the people that buy a home near an airport and then complain about the noise...another doh...

We have more wasteland in Michigan than is able to be imagined and we are STILL draining wetlands and planting house on farms. There is SO much vacant land in the cites that we could, and should, build there for years. Never happen, MOST not all, of the residents who live in those cites LIKE it the way it is or they would fix it. They just keep voting in crook after crook, and then wonder why nothing changes.
