in Monee Ill...
wind is blowing and lucky right now NOT a lot of snow with it...only about an inch on the ground and the roads look to be bare....:D

According to the WI 511 web page Wisconsin is closed, the entire State. I94 is impassable. They are urging NO travel at this time.

Tomorrows load may cancel. I don't know if things will get cleared in time. We will have to get up early and play it by ear.

This is nothing Pete, there isn't even enough snow to justify the panic the news is creating. We get snow every year, and every year since they messed up in 2000 by reporting the wrong weather conditions, the news stations have been going way way overboard by making the smallest snowfall out as a category five hurricane.

It is starting to get warm and melting a bit. I'm going out to do my 'cat food' run and coming home to stay out of the freezing rain.

The stations here in St Louis may be over reacting since they blew the call back in 1980 when they said we would get only an inch or 2 but ended up with a major blizzard and almost 2 feet of snow and the whole metro area what shut down for days I was in the middle of that at a friends mobile home out in the what was country at that time we lost power and heat luckily i had my 4 wheel drive ford pick up loaded my friend his wife and kids and moved to his parents house they still had power

Yeah, this cold wave is pretty tough. I actually had to fire up the gen this morning to warm up the sleeper before I got out of bed here in Laredo. According to Weatherbug, it's not even gonna hit 70 today! I guess I'll just have to hunker down and tough it out.

It's chilly [40 something] in Dallas, and windy.
I just noticed a crack in the Fantastic Fan cover - think a piece of duct tape will work? Can't be having rain & snow inside, or sitting on the bed under an umbrella....

Ill give you the fact that your tax dollars certainly go to a "State funded Universtity" but I think if you go all the way back to when Yost built the Stadium and all improvements and renovations since including e $226 million that was just spent on the stadium, you will find that all of it has been "self funded"...no tax dollars used.

As for your "support of the event, thats good, i think most of the population of the state of Michigan did that as did those of us that are season ticket holders (both hockey and football and basketball) as did those that bought tickets to the event...Oh and the Michigan football totaly payes for itself as well as funding most of the non revenue olympic sports without tax dollars....

Here is a little article on the stadium history that speaks to the self fundng and another article that speaks to the sale of university issed bonds by Yost to fund the the building of the stadium. But hey, thanks for your "upport of the event"....
