Straight truck load?...
A certain unnamed carrier asked us about doing a load Indy to St Louis ran M-F at 7 pm..1 skid maybe 2 at most ..if we had anyone that might be interested in running it dedicated...ME I said....so Murray gave them a price that included some return $, But no go....
Would have been a nice deal, but as I found out a few years ago, just as you get comfortable and settled in, it goes dry

I suppose you'd have to either go north towards Chicago or roll towards Indy...and if it rolls every day...there is a constant inflow of trucks...

I love hearing this, I always ask for more money since they're looking out for me!
dispatchers have a solitary 1 dimensional view of this business....being so young and the only transportation experience they have is that they owned a bus pass in school..there will always be another bus in 15 minutes...
you be doing good staying out of dead end loads...

I have the resources to sit if I have to I hate wasting time and money chasing freight as much as I hate sitting I once tried the local home at night stuff just didn't pay as well it seemed except when I did 3-4 runs a day but that slowed down to a crawl after a while I got lucky Tuesday with a double header which is a rare thing

Yep.... and they called at 9.30 am to verify O O S ...That it for the year now...Mr. 3000?.......
Now to head this morning to Nursing home and pay bills and deposit checks for Mom & Dad ... then next week Buy & Order seed corn for next spring and go to ASC office to register planted acres & Yields from beans from this year ....
And spend alot of time with Family ... esp. my little buddy ..
