this pay change that alot of you will be going through in june or whenever panther is doing theres is getting alot of discussion which is, in my eyes not needed. its pretty simple, if you are going to lose money in any amount that you are currently earning then you have two choices. 1, look at the numbers and if is not significant to you then stay. 2 same as prior, if it is then leave. this is your business. run it and make a choice as to what is best for it. from what we have read as to what rates will be there are a few choices out there that will meet or beat the new pay. granted, it is hard to leave a carrier if you have some, lets say, history but business is business.

Some drivers get paid for Dead Head miles and Run Miles. Some drivers don't get paid Dead Head. That being said the run best pay real good if the dead head is 600 miles or any thing like that as that is at least 10.5 hours easy. If a run after the Dh Cancels. We are at a loss. If tools are Gold to the Mechanic then Hours are Platinum to Drivers. Was that good Sure it was Jumpy!!!

In this case, I think they are referring to the Fed as they went from a percentage to flat rate. As for Panther, I am not aware of any changes. Panther pays the mileage and dry run pay if a load cancels. They also cover any bonuses that were agreed to at the time of dispatch. Still not a great outcome if something cancels, but it does keep it from becoming a disaster.

Is Load 1 looking at Flat Rate, too ?

JK.

Not that I'm aware of. If it did, I would be one of the first to dust off the parachute and start looking for a place to bail. I'm not driving for flat milage.

dont know in any of the posts how that question would even have came up but i can answer that question with a big " NO ". we actually lease to an owner who cares about his fleet and their success.

Just Kidding. Joking around.
Just because John's a good guy doesn't mean he can't succumb to market pressures and trends.

After all, he's a businessman.

If John did go Flat Rate you all need to show your loyalty and respect by sticking it out and helping him through the tough patch.,

And why's that? In my experience, flat rate takes away a huge part of the unknown, and makes it harder to be screwed.
