God did not speak "Old English". ALL "bibles" have been translated. No God did not tell me that, Brother Leo did. He was a Capuchin brother who spent his entire adult life studying, and translating, scared scripts. He was one of the most "gentle" men I ever met. He was one of my favorite "teachers" when I was young.

Yes, and the 6th commandment prohibits murder, not killing. In fact, in Exodus, we're told that the ancient Israelites were not to be held guilty of shedding blood if they killed an intruder in their home at night. That was a circumstance in which the difference was clearly shown.

You're quite ignorant on this subject. I suggest you stick to what you know, whatever that is. It isn't Christianity or Biblical studies. What I've stated about the 6th commandment is indisputable fact.

Citing just half the quote makes it appear that the Councilwoman was trying to find excuses for the atrocity committed, but I don't think that was her intent at all. No sane person would find ANY excuse for what those scum did acceptable, or even understandable. And people tend to blurt out some pretty stupid things when they're shocked, especially people who aren't used to being quoted in the press. There is no more sympathy for the perps in this incident than they deserve, which is none at all. I hope some people with morals turn the scumbags in.
