It's wishful thinking.

How many here have some idea that they can actually haul up to 10k, not have a gross weight of 10k?

I have seen 16 foot box truck with a heavy morgan box on a 10k chassis with the owner claiming they can take 4000 lbs while having more crap on board than my truck has.

What I find surprising on Bolts or the Alliances site is how many Sprinters there are,
The vehicles listed on the vehicle search on Bolt's website include partner carrier trucks (ie. other Alliance members who choose to post their vehicles)

and secondly, how many are listed at 4000lbs for load capacity. Can a Sprinter carry a 4000lb payload?
Some of the T1N 2500's nearly so (max cargo capacity on a the short wheelbase T1N is 3950 lbs)

Even more questionable is if the driver has any personal effects with him.
No argument there - mine is listed at 2500 lbs cargo capacity.

Even seen a few with 5k listed.
Just an observation that I wondered about.
Even the T1N 3500 is only listed at 4824 lbs, max cargo capacity.

Base curb weights on the cab chassis 2500 (8550 GVW) are 4139 to 4203 lbs.

Base curb weights on the cab chassis 3500 (10,200 GVW) are 4426 to 4536 lbs.

Of course, that doesn't include a box ....

I don't get it?

The older 2500's were listed as 8550 gvrw and a curb weight of about 5500 completely void of anything..just the shell...

It's dependent on the specific model (wheelbase, low vs. high roof, etc) - the following chart applies only to '06 and earlier T1N's:

I AGREE CONGRADS TO BOLT !
WE DO GOOD WORK AND ARE REWARDED FOR IT !
NOW IF WE COULD JUST GET THEM TO GIVE THE DRIVERS ENOUGH ACCXESS TO THE ALLIANCE BOARD WHERE WE COULD SEE WHERE OTHER UNITS ARE SITTING INORDER TO DECIDE WHERE WE SHOULD MOVE TO ,TO CHASE FRIEGHT, WITHOUT BOTHERING DISPATCH. OTHER COMPANIES HAVE THIS TYPE SITES. ?wonder why bolt is behind the times on that one ?

You can go to Bolts website and look up the units they have available in various areas. They have a search page for their customers, and they list all the units in that particular area.

My Gawd..how, how shocking...you moved on your own dime without asking for a handout? You actually are running your own business without a moving bailout! You starting a trend here? Mr Obama will get you...*LOL*

WTG Chef...U da man...;)

Some drivers "whine about the dime" and some driver simply move on their own dime!! J/k man.

Hey, I resemble that remark http://www.expeditersonline.com/forum/express-1/35960-thank-you-bolt-express.html

If it was my post that got us blocked I sincerly appologize. I was just so excited about being able to see us and wanting every one else to know I never thought they would block it.:mad:

Well, it was one of my best tools. I would tell a few folks about it. I knew once the cat was out of the bag it would be gone. I had to change my way of thinking about staying or leaving in an area. I do think I have missed some good chances on loads due to not being able to see. With no limit on info, (like we have now), it's not as good as it ever was.lol

Seems that with O/O being able to cover loads in areas with no units would be a good thing. Guess "they" don't see it that way.

I don't really put much who rah into these awards....its just corporate back slapping..over the years they all seem to heav thier turn at it and something to justify these highly overpaid execs to crow about on the golf course as they continue to chip away at our rates....
