Read the transcript.

Where would one find that ?

Cause that thing you linked right below your comment sure ain't a transcript ... it's an article.

:tearsofjoy:

I'm sure he meant what he said.

You also think there are "gray areas" in Canadian Traffic Law ... which permits drivers to just depart when they don't feel like talking to law enforcement after being stopped, or identifying themselves when requested to do so.

:tearsofjoy:

I'm sure he doesn't "admire" the form of government, but I am interested in what he was referring to that he does admire.

I think he was being somewhat facetious ... and using the opportunity to add a little humor ... while taking a poke at the previous Prime Minister of the opposing party.

They gotta have that “flexibility” so you know, they can flex.
That's what he said:
"I mean there is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about of having a dictatorship that he can do everything he wanted that I find quite interesting."

Canadian PM Trudeau's comments in Parliament yesterday directed at a Jewish member:

"Conservative Party members can stand with people who wave swastikas, they can stand with people who wave the Confederate flag,”

It's still not a transcript.

It's simply a piece of "gotcha journalism" from a rightwing partisan outlet (with a somewhat mixed record of accuracy)

Doesn't cover the entire event (which would give some context and flavor for the nature of the event) ... but selectively focuses on one small aspect of it ... for the purpose of stoking outrage.

Wonder how many actually read Trudeau's statement and caught the implication of these three sentences:

“They don’t believe in science/progress and are very often misogynistic and racist. It’s a very small group of people, but that doesn’t shy away from the fact that they take up some space.
'This leads us, as a leader and as a country, to make a choice: Do we tolerate these people?"

It appears he regards those protesting the vaccine mandates to be a small minority that he and his regime should not tolerate. This must have played a large part in invoking the Canadian Emergencies Act (the first time it's ever happened). He's begun arresting political opponents, freezing private bank accounts and suspending civil liberties, all in the name of maintaining order. Is this how it's done in China? It's not without historical precedent, and approaches the slippery slope of authoritarianism most Canadians probably don't want.

Since we're discussing Justin Trudeau's heroes, it wouldn't be fair to leave out Fidel Castro. The more we learn about his opinions of other leaders, the clearer his worldview becomes.

"Fidel Castro was a larger than life leader who served his people for almost half a century. A legendary revolutionary and orator, Mr. Castro made significant improvements to the education and healthcare of his island nation," said Justin Trudeau in 2016...
We join the people of Cuba today in mourning the loss of this remarkable leader.”
