One thing that was DRILLED into during basic training AND my tech schooling in the Army was that I NEVER required to follow an illegal order and it was my DUTY to stand up and fight an illegal order. IF Barry is NOT a legal citizen and NOT able to be President under the Constitution then this major is doing what he was trained to do.

I no nothing about this major or this case. I promise you though, IF I were still in the military I too would question Barry's legal right to order me anywhere.

By the way, I DID dis-obey an illegal order in basic. I was right. The DI that issued that order was BUSTED 2 pay grades. I guess I have ALWAYS been a person that stands up for their beliefs. I THANK GOD for that talent and the courage to stand firm on my convictions.

You're exactly right - they've created a really bad precedent by allowing this to slide. Now all soldiers and reservists who don't believe Afghanistan is a legitimate war will use this as an excuse to be reassigned, possibly resulting in chaos within the ranks. What's missing from all this is the usual uproar the anti-war left that was heard so often about the Iraq war. You would think they would be on the side of the Major or anyone else that didn't want to go to Afghanistan. Would this guy have been considered a "nut job" by not wanting to serve in Iraq? Seems to me that the lawyer involved could be putting a left-wing spin on it. Think of all the noise that would have been made if somebody had gotten out of the Iraq war on grounds similar to this - of course that was Bush's war. Afghanistan is Barack Hussein Obama's war - the "good" war. Let's see if there is similar concern in the MSM and elsewhere about the casualty count of our troops involved in "Barry's War".

I don't know if this guy is grandstanding or not. I do know that he has the right to question an order that he believes is illegal. IF Barry is NOT the legal President then the order IS illegal. VERY interesting arguement.

It is now that the Army dropped the the order to report to duty...makes it appear he has a case....when in fact all the checks and balances..were applied...whether ya like it or not...Congress has given OBama a green light...all is legal.

Yeah, the Soviet's gave Stalin a green light too. So was Hitler given a green light. I do NOT trust Congress. They look like a Soviet style rubber stamp now. I would LOVE to see ALL documents on THIS case, from the major AND Barry. Bet Barry and Co. are trying to cover this up. NO proof, just a feeling. The old "Spy Gut Feeling" you get when the enemy was getting ready to do something. The hair (what is left) on the back of my neck is standing up!! LOL!!!!
