NO not a lose/lose, it is what you make of it. For a few who want to add to the fray, it is simply that they need not to be mods while others are setting the bar a bit too high and stifling some comments by pointing out the rules and expecting people to care. IT is like off topic tangents - who cares but a couple will step in and say "keep it on topic" which gets ignored or pees on others feet but they don't offer anything else like just posting right back to the topic of the thread.

The "joke" clearly says that the RNC is saying not to trust him be cause he is black. That is saying the party is racist, please keep in mind I am conservative but not a Republican. It just annoys me that the party of acceptance and the ones that claim to fight stereotyping and hatred will end up spewing some of the most hate filled speech ever.

Holy crap. People don't "get" the Onion. It's dry humor (humour in OVM and EL's case). If you don't get it, move along to the next thread. Hashing it out over some pseudo-news blog is tantamount to arguing with someone over whether peas or carrots taste better.

OK, I read it again, I guess I don't see it as a joke and don't think it is funny. It looks like they were using commentary on politics in general and trying to be funny at the same time but it didn't work for me so I just found it to be annoying. I understand it now.

The Onion, John Stewart, etc. are humor in the same way the Spruce Goose is an efficient, effective aircraft.
