Thank you but I don't know how much smarts played into more than I've heard too many horror stories about those CDL mill companies. But so far I have a couple companies that the school works with that I'm interested in. They also have a couple I'm not but the choice of picking the company that's closest to what I want is pretty awesome

After dropping in Austin this morning, left for the shark infested waters of Laredo. #2 of 3. Already have room lined up for tonight if nothing happens. Supposed to be 100*+ today and 106* tomorrow. Just lovely and can't wait for it to be here. LOL.

On my way down saw at least 3 unmarked sprinters heading north between San Antonio and Laredo.

We were going to plaster logos until we remembered the loads where the broker tells us "MUST PICK UP AS XYZ TRUCK".
Some broker/carriers/customers are still not comfortable with the thought of THEIR carrier not having 17,774 trucks all over the country to serve them.

I've been doing that for the last 20 years and have never had an issue with that.

I only had it questioned once. About 3 years ago in Indiana somewhere. It didn't mess up the load but the kid was worried about the BOL being completed right. Risk of a freight claim with the wrong carrier on the BOL is a REAL concern.

I'm so glad in the 2 year I drove a van I didn't go to Laredo or El Paso. Went to Houston a few times but never those places....does that mean I wasn't a real vanner???
