What burns me today is the fact that when I took the load offer I was told they're having trouble getting the load covered and there's no vans around to offer the load to" except me". So I take the load out to Richmond, VA only to find out there's another Sprinter van out here and I'm# 2. So why call me to DH 270 miles and tell me there's no other vans in the area?! Not to mention the guy ahead of me has been sitting at home 24 hours pryor to me dropping the load off at 10am. Seems to me he turned it down and now I'm stuck here taking whatever he doesn't want. I wouldn't have taken the load if I knew he was closer to it than me let alone sitting in the Richmond area at home. So from now on Take everything isn't in my vocabulary and I'm probably going to have to DH to PA just to get out.

Inching our way through the Chicago area inroute to Huntington, IN with a HOT load that we picke up 3 miles frm we we decided to stay put after dropping off the last load this morning.
So we took a nap in the parking lot of the last drop place and waited for our next load, it paid off. No dead head for this one. But it is the wrong time of day to being trying to get through Chicago. We did that coming in and going out, the beginning and ending time of a work day. So here inch through again!

Moving good this week. Now near Baltimore. Pick up near here later heading for KY. Then KY to TN tomorrow. Delivered in NJ today from MN. IL to WI on Tues. One of our better weeks all year.

FYI didn't go home. Got to Ohio and Pa border and called dispatch and got a load from Wadsworth, Oh to Elizabethtown, KY. Although for a couple of hours I thought I would be at home. Got $30 DH and if i did get home...so what?!

Nice to be back up north in Monroe, MI. 26 degrees cooler heat index here then where I just came from in Nashville, TN.

Hmmm. Now I drive a sprinter getting 26 mpg's. Going to the house doesn't cost me as much, but when I'm not making any money you can bet that after 24-48 hours I'll be DHing somewhere. Being the first week of the month I was expecting it to be slow....but not this bad. Did you forget that last month I was out for almost 4 weeks without going home. And I drove 6,776 loaded miles. So yes, I did much better than when I was at Load 1. So I was wondering when you are going to stop beating on a deadhorse???? Load 1 is old news and I'm still happy at E1. It's just a slooooow week.

While the van you own sits as you make payments on it....:rolleyes:

as far as the slow 1st week of the month and loaded/paid mile last month...I'll let that one go...:D:rolleyes:
