Here is a little test that will help you decide.


The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You're walking down a
Deserted street with your wife
And two small children.

Suddenly, a Terrorist with a huge knife
Comes around the corner,
Locks eyes with you,

Raises the knife, and charges at you...

You are carrying a

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
What is a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP?
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Is he really a terrorist? Am I guilty of profiling?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?

I like it but Silver Tips are hollow points so it should be something like or were they Golden Sabers or Gold Dot or another specific name like Silver Tip.

LOL.. Leave it to you! I didn't even catch that :rolleyes: and if we wanna be that specific, a Kimber .45 only holds 7+1 in the chamber :) but I think we get the point!


I'll stick with my S&W 9mm... 16+1 ;)

Mine only holds 5. Ruger SP101 .357. My wife's only hold 5. Lady Smith, .357. Both are revolvers. Revolvers are more reliable. Fewer parts to fail or get messed up with lint and other nasties. We use Speer Gold Dot self defense rounds.

Only need one shot, just hit what you shoot at! :p

I read this one the other day... Gun control is the precept that a woman found raped and strangled with her own panty hose is somehow morally superior to one explaining to the police how her attacker got that mortal wound.

I am a southerner. I believe that the Glock 45 ACP was designed to solve most of those type of problems.

I agree, I am a wheel gun fan. Model 19 S&W. The 357 hollow points have a one shot stopping coefficient of 97. This is what all others are compared to. Always keep a 12 gauge riot gun by the bed. The 12 banger can put fear in the hearts of bad people.
