Sitting at our delivery. Somebody messed up and did not order additional labor that is needed. SO, we wait till it gets sorted out.

I'll ask the day before, am I meeting a FedEx truck ? If so, I'll ask truck number and tell them to give them my number.
I've had my Wheaties and been unloaded before they even show up. And sometimes we have to share directions.
If no truck was ordered this will get them on it.

I asked about this needing help last Fri. Consignee had requested it two weeks ago. Freight is over a ton and has to be moved up an incline. Not a safe move. The crate has markings requiring a minimum of 3 to move it.

Do you get to negotiate for more money, since you're doing part of their job for them?

Never negotiated for their money. If they show up before I leave, it's a bonus for them. They did as asked.
I'm better off as I'm done, and ready for next project sooner. It's a win-win.
I won't chance getting hurt or damaging freight, but if I can safely make delivery, I'll get to work.
Why sit around waiting ?
Prior to Fedex I was supposed to meet a guy in Springfield Mo.
He was looking for me in Springfield, Il.

I would move it IF I thought it was safe. The consignee, and I, agree that it is not.
