Harry Truman referred to Central as "God's Time", as opposed to the wicked Eastern time used in DC



My GPS is locked on Eastern, my radio is set to destination time, and my phone does the same as yours.

Truman joined the Triple K at the height of its influence, for political reasons. Jumped out after two years. Not a good thing for him to have done, but is it fair to fault a guy using 2014 standards, for something he did in 1920? He can't even defend himself.

Why not? I blame Teddy for killing Ms Kopechny, even tho drunk driving standards were different back then.

A few days ago, Obamalamadingdong was at the LBJ library praising that dumbazz for the things he did to "further" civil rights, yet I never heard Eisenhower's name mentioned on NPR. Funny how some things are remembered, and others forgotten, by society. I understand the standards we hold today, cannot measure the past. My comment on Truman was more of a "If you can do it, so can I" kind of rhetoric.

I will be home at the end of May, the walleye and silver bass are calling my name. I have to be home for a couple of DR appointments which somehow, I don't understand how, magically were set up for the best time for fishing. It is strange that everything that needs done, even truck repairs, gets set up for times of the year when I need to be home anyway. I wonder how I can get SO lucky?

Gotta load for tomorrow for a 5am pick up which is entirely too early in Rockford Illinois then deliver Monday to Durham North Carolina on Monday with a 8 hour break. Even if it's early I don't care because it's a long well paying load and a great way to start the week

Handguns, rifles, shotguns, ammunition reloading supplies and accessories., if you get the chance. Good people, good shop. Bought my AR there. It was made there.
