Got a load pu 100 miles away from Franklin, KY, where we were moved to last night, going to Dertoit. Thankfully it gets it home so we can do our taxes. Not a great week this week, but we will try again next week, and hope that its better.

Ran KC Mo to Taylor straight thru last night..Let KC at 1830 and delivered in Taylor at 0905...went oos and headed home...just got up from sleepin...mail came and the memo title for the truck is here, so licence plates in the morning as well as an oil and filter change....changed out the factory oil at 490 miles and the truck has just shy of 6000 mile now, so I'll change it now and then run it 15,000 miles.....

Daughters B-day "get together" is tomorrow with the family (the last 1 for her, she is 17 and thats no more "cake and candles"....so I'll probably go back in service tomorrow night...

You all drive safe and have a good weekend, and again John, all that you have done and continue to do to make life easy and prosperous for us is greatly appreciated...Thank you...

At the TA in Buckhorn, PA getting oil changed, went to Walmart did our shopping, waiting on that big run (not tonight though, it is foggy and rainy, don't want to drive in that at night.)
Just got a call from Joe in dispatch, asked us to DH to Youngstown, Oh in order to have a better chance for a load. Will go in morning so we don't have to drive in the fog tonight.

Know right where you're at RK. My daughter used to live in Danville. I'd park there and she'd come over and pick me up.

That TA isn't too bad for an old one. Used the shop twice and service was good. Breakfast buffet is good. Lots of locals patronize it which usually means the food is good. Has a cozy atmosphere as well.

Youngstown..... You're own your own there.

In Girard, Ohio, at the Petro, waiting for oil change. Joe called last night and asked us to DH here for hopefully a better chance of getting a load today.

Waited for about 4 hours last night in PA for an oil change. They finally get it in about 11pm. We had walked to restraunt with the free gift certifcate for a dnner the shop gave us for waiting so long. They call us and tell us that they drained the oil but don't have the proper filters to complete the oil change. So they refilled the oil and waisted our time. Although we did get a free dinner. Good thing too, the service at the restraunt was terrible. We were not offered refills on our drinks at all. I had the fish fry and requested a second piece of fish. I could hear the cook in back yelling that he didn't know what fish it was and that he hadn't started it yet, when the waitress asked where it was after 15 min. of me waiting for it. A few seconds later I seen a patron get up and leave, he hadn't been waited on yet. He had sat there for about 15 min. waiting or service then decided to leave. It was in the middle of shift change so I will give them that. We left out certifcates on the table and left.

When we got to the Petro this morning there was a big commotion going on. A driver had pulled up to the fuel island, fueled, and gone in to get receipt and purchase some things. Another driver asked him if he had another driver in the cab or not and he said no. The the second driver says well your truck is leaving. His car hauler semi was going backwards down the hill whitch was the entrance of the truck parking and fuel section of the Petro. He went running after it and couldn't catch it. Kind of hard to catch a run away semi especially in flip flops. Thank god the truck did come to a stop without hitting anyone else or going out into traffic. It did jack knife onto the grass area and blocked the entrance. Police and a wrecker were there soon. The wrecker got him pulled out of the jack knife and he drove the truck to the truck parking area. Lots of excitement at the Petro this morning. He forgot to pull the airbrake, I guess. There goes his CSA score.

I just think it was change of shift and no one knew which was up and it was late at night. The service we got the day before was really good. It was just one of those nights for us, that's all.
