Oh, forgot.
Fan-tastic fan installed.
Remote start installed.
Battery 1 year old.
Tranny & rear diff serviced about 2 months ago.
New F&R brakes in past 6 months.
Windshield cracked.
Side vent visors installed.

Hah Murray? what's this guy haulin? I sure would love to haul what he's hauled :) Some time I wonder with that kind of numbers, why wouldn't he replace the windshield. Only take a bout an hour and a couple of hundred bucks, lol.

I really don't think anybody is going to extend terms to a total stranger.

Then you'd be thinking incorrectly, Rags.

Bought our first truck this very same way, using the last $500 to our name on a $34k purchase, financed (our name on title, his as lienholder) over 12 months. Paid off in 5 months, 27 days. Posted an ad in EO classifieds looking for owner finance, after being prodded by another EO member.

Was it the smart thing to do? Probably not.
Did it turn out well? Yes.
Was I scared? Somewhat. VERY shaky credit, and few other options, other than continue driving for the owner we were driving for.

Difference might be that I have mechanical knowledge, and was anxious to not make mistakes I made in previous, failed businesses.

That quickly-paid-for truck made us a lot of money, and dug us out of a huge hole. Our path was not for the faint of heart. Our seller-financiers thought we were smoking meth. We're just hard workers, and our carrier takes good care of us.

Thank you Rags for your advice. I totally understand your point as do I take a lot of jabs for even considering to make such a business move. Might I say its very scary making a purchase an not having the capital for breakdowns cause anything could happen. Well I've heard a lot of wise decisions from some very nice people on EO ......But I've always been able to think things through and come to a wise decision no matter how insane it is lol. All I can do is pray that nothing drastic would happen to the van for the first 2 months so I can stack my maintenance account. Thanks Happy Holidays
