Oh God, look at all this BS.

Cheri, please go on a tour of a ship and see what it is like, ask questions because you don't have a frickn' clue - sorry to be so disrespectful but you don't have a clue.

As for your Daughter, I wish her luck but she should have gone into the Air Force. Knowing how to use a rifle means little by the way, the Navy does have rifle training.

Greg, you should be on TV. That was a FUNNY ONE!! The Navy has rifle training. LOL!!! That is HOT!! :p Shoot Greg, when I went in the Army I had been shooting longer than my instructor had. It's a good thing she knows how to shoot already. If the only training you get is what they get in basic she would be in real trouble in a fire fight.

OH, 3-4 pages back someone made a comment against me telling the blossomed one to "get out of the soapbox", that I did not say.(I'm not going to dig to see who said it) I asked the blossomed one to "get OFF the soapbox" with their comments towards/against an institution they never served in.

So, we haven't any right to comment on Congress, the Senate, or the White House either?
And btw: why do you refer to me as 'the blossomed one'?
No really, I want to hear this...

And you do, huh? Since you never answered my question about how long you lasted in the military, I assume you know because you went on a tour.
LMAO
Your rebuttal is less [waaay, waaaay less] than convincing.

With all due respect, I believe she should have been free to choose for herself, which she did - but I'll tell her you said so, maybe she'll be impressed.

Yeah, we ALL, at least those of us who exercise our right to vote, have a right to comment on Congress, the Senate, and the White House. You my friend have never raised your right hand and taken the oath to defend our country, but yet you chastise those that have. That is what I am in disagreement with when it comes to your rhetoric over this injustice that has been placed upon this Naval Commander.

The blossomed one? Well, if you really must know................

It was a term we used back in my old military days. Websters Dictionary, 1913 edition, had a definition for blossom that said "to develop into a superior type". There was quite a few guys that I served with over the years with whom I knew when they were PFC's - Specialists and Corporals, all the way to their E5 Sergeant promotion. As PFC's, and Specialists/Corporals, they were pretty cool dudes. When those 3 stripes were pinned on their collars, some of 'em "Blossomed" into big a-holes. Had an E7 (SFC) that was hitting his 20 years in the military who used to call those new a-hole E5's "Blossomed Ones". Instead of saying "Hey Sgt Rippy, come here", he would go "Hey Blossomed One, get over here". As newly promoted NCO's, it would get under their skin. But, he had 15 years and 2 more ranks above them and he didn't give a hoot if it bothered them or not.

Gawd, with all this PC BS going on the Military of today, SFC Brewer wouldn't last a day. Sad, very sad.

You asked, I confessed, take it as you will, OK.

Being non-military, they won't take you if your feet are flatter than the floor you are standing on and require fascia surgery, I was thinking Cheri and blossomed one as a play on cherry blossoms which should be beautifying D.C. before too long.

I guess to play in todays Politically Correct society, this is what I was really saying above with my kindness towards Cheri. :D

Again: one must have first hand experience to form an opinion on the actions of others? Because I've never been a garbage collector either, but when I see one having a few beers in his truck, I think I'm qualified to criticize.
Your defensive attitude is not persuasive, sorry.

Injustice, huh? Because he is being held accountable for his appalling lack of good judgment? - again, not persuasive, not even close.

See, I knew it'd be some kind of insult, [that you could smirk over until I asked you to explain, when you could post it, because I asked.]
Insulting people [even my daughter!] is the number one defense mechanism for those who have no excuse for immaturity, having passed the age when that's expected behavior.
I apologize for not feeling insulted, just sorry for you, because the days when you could get away with it are long gone.
PS When did I get promoted, anyway?:D

Really sad part is that you just don't get it..........

Becoming a waste of time, insults and all. One can take the crack away from a crackhead, but even tough he has no crack on him at that time, a crackhead he still is. Same logic applies here.

I'm done with this discussion. I'm heading out to my garage to talk to one of the tires on my truck. I bet I'll get a better discussion going on with it. Now to figure out which one of the four I need to strike up a conversation with....................

Well, this thread seems to have gone about as far as it can go and degenerated about as much as it needs to so I'm closing it and this discussion is over for this or any other thread unless and until forum admin suggests we resurrect it. Thanks.
