Yeah, we ALL, at least those of us who exercise our right to vote, have a right to comment on Congress, the Senate, and the White House. You my friend have never raised your right hand and taken the oath to defend our country, but yet you chastise those that have.
Again: one must have first hand experience to form an opinion on the actions of others? Because I've never been a garbage collector either, but when I see one having a few beers in his truck, I think I'm qualified to criticize.
Your defensive attitude is not persuasive, sorry.
That is what I am in disagreement with when it comes to your rhetoric over this injustice that has been placed upon this Naval Commander.
Injustice, huh? Because he is being held accountable for his appalling lack of good judgment? - again, not persuasive, not even close.
The blossomed one? Well, if you really must know................
It was a term we used back in my old military days. Websters Dictionary, 1913 edition, had a definition for blossom that said "to develop into a superior type". There was quite a few guys that I served with over the years with whom I knew when they were PFC's - Specialists and Corporals, all the way to their E5 Sergeant promotion. As PFC's, and Specialists/Corporals, they were pretty cool dudes. When those 3 stripes were pinned on their collars, some of 'em "Blossomed" into big a-holes. Had an E7 (SFC) that was hitting his 20 years in the military who used to call those new a-hole E5's "Blossomed Ones". Instead of saying "Hey Sgt Rippy, come here", he would go "Hey Blossomed One, get over here". As newly promoted NCO's, it would get under their skin. But, he had 15 years and 2 more ranks above them and he didn't give a hoot if it bothered them or not.
Gawd, with all this PC BS going on the Military of today, SFC Brewer wouldn't last a day. Sad, very sad.
You asked, I confessed, take it as you will, OK.
