This is my last maintenance post. I officially retired 12/31/2022. I plan on selling my Transit sometime in May. The maintenance costs jumped this year due to two expensive repairs, transmission lead frame and replacing all 6 fuel injectors. Had I decided to keep running into 2023 the cost per mile may have dropped some barring any other major repairs.

I hope this was helpful and gives a basis for what one could expect for maintenance and costs. I ended my maintenance records with a total of 478,364 miles.

This is a prime example of one major factor in being successful in expediting. Keeping detailed, accurate records of all equipment and expenses after doing meticulous maintenance on said equipment. Slipshod can be the difference of several cents per mile minimum. The ones who aren't smart like Moot probably aren't lasting half a million miles but if they did and it costs an extra nickel a mile that's $25,000 out of their pocket. And by being smart and doing things right that's an extra $25,000 in Moot's and other smart people's pockets. A workman is only as good as his tools. Moot has always had the best tools.

Proper maintenance was the key to my success.... unplanned downtime can be very costly. Take care of your money maker... you invested into a van... now invest in your future!
