the k&n gives better breathing but at the expense of more dirt in the engine because of larger holes in the filtering media. no good for the cylinder walls.

I've used K&N for years in my vans,cars and bikes, They say the wet filters better than the dry paper, and I've had no problems.

didn't make 19 mpg but got up to 18.5 and 18.4 in this recent trip from minne to ny state. 19 is there but maybe easier with the 3:73 rather than the 4:10 rear end. 18 is at a steady 60 and better is gonna be painfully slow.

At 60mph on fairly level roads my 2008 Chevrolet 3500 Ext was able to average 19 mpg and occasionally I got 19.5.

i have posted elsewhere that we have slowed from 65to60 on the speedo, 63/58 on the gps. we are up from high 16's to over 18 with a couple 20's to show also.

15 most of the time on synthetic mobile 1, 2002 b3500 dodge 318 cu in. PS, my boss ran 1 million miles on mobile one , never took the engine out of the van and it was a gas engine, the second van he sold at 750, 000 miles and a courier driver is still driving it and its a gas engine..My boss doesnt know there is anyother oil out there but Mobile one. Guess what, I use it to:D
