    Texas cops and trucks

Being a retired Deputy Sheriff here in Ohio, I can tell you the name of the game is "PROBABLE CAUSE". If I'm legally driving down the road and I get stopped, the first thing I'm going to ask is what is the probable cause for the stop. I never made a stop without it, and no ethical officer...

    Places you won't wait

I have yet to get a return load from Detroit. The people at the auto plants are very friendly, but I won't stay anywhere in that area. I just began doing this in January, but being a retired Deputy Sheriff, I know enough to not tempt fate in Detroit.

    Flow Master Type Muffler

I use K&N air filters in all of my vehicles, and I always use their oil.

    Flow Master Type Muffler

That's true, but with the low powered 4.6 liter engine, the extra grunt of the 4.10 gear is needed. I had a run last week with a 1800 lb. load, on flat land it ran okay, but when I got into the hilly terrain of eastern Ohio, it had a hard time. If I went to a 3.73 gear, it would only make it...

    Flow Master Type Muffler

I have changed to a K&N air filter to help the mileage. which helped a little bit. I have been told that until I put a muffler that flows better, I won't see any real mileage increase. Is this true, or just somebody trying to make a sale? I have the 4.6 liter engine w/ a 4.10 rear-end. I...

    E85

What is the difference between a vehicle designed for E85 and a non-E85 vehicle? My 2008 Ford 406 liter E250 has the gas cap that says to not use E85, but also in the owners manual it lead one to believe that some were made to use it. I have found E85 conversion kits on the internet, and from...

    2008 Ford E250 MPG

Most of my loads are under 500 lbs. Just a few over that, with one at 1973 lbs. From what I understand from these posts, I should go with a 3.73 or 3.54, nothing below that. I am not looking for performance, just better gas mileage. The 4.10 gear was the optional gear for this vehicle, and...

    2008 Ford E250 MPG

I'm getting 16.0 to 16.25 mpg with my E250. It has a 4.10 rear end gear, and the 4.6 liter engine. The only thing I've added is a K&N air filter, which didn't help much that I can see. I'm debating going to a 3.73, 3.54, or a 3.24 rear end gear to help the mileage. Does anybody have any...
